This could be a monumental season for [player_tooltip player_id='777225' first='Katie' last='Muller'] from an individual standpoint. Muller is a 6'2 SG that is a natural at her position. She has great height for a SG and she can really light the nets on fire from deep in quite a hurry. Right now Muller is the #2 rated prospect out of her 2027 Class but if she does well this season and leads by example, she will be in the conversation for that #1 spot moving into our next Update this December. She is that much of a game changer at this time. I'm hoping that Dowling Catholic has changed up their system to adapt to their new roster for this upcoming season. They have a smart coaching staff so I would really expect nothing less and for the Muller sisters to shine in the grand scheme of things once again.

There are still a lot of questions to be answered about [player_tooltip player_id='880901' first='Abbajay' last='Peters'] as a whole but I think we get answers to those questions over the next six months. Peters is a top prospect out of the 2028 Class at the PG position. Her natural athletic ability is impressive for her age and position at this time. That ability helps her thrive against smaller, slower, or weaker defenders. In the open court, Peters is nearly impossible to stop, especially when she gets downhill in the full court. Her tight handle and understanding of her own ability helps her succeed in most situations so we should continue to see her dominate her competition this Winter as long as she controls her turnover rate per possession.

[player_tooltip player_id='795874' first='LJ' last='Maehl'] is committed and ready to take her talents to the D2 level but not before she has one more go-around at the Varsity high school level this upcoming Winter. Maehl is an individual that producers under the hoop whenever she competes. She stands at 6'0 with seemingly lengthier arms and a lot of ability on both sides of the ball. Offensively, she can score over smaller defenders at a high rate, she can rebound the ball consistently, and she can even shoot a jumper at times when she has the spacing. Defensively, she is someone that other teams have to worry about when they attack. If not, it'll end in the block party for Maehl. This should be a good season for Fort Dodge and Maehl should put up numbers. She just needs to stay mentally locked in and the rest will play itself out in due time.

[player_tooltip player_id='832198' first='Macy' last='Meyer'] is a college committed prospect that should lead DCG in a bunch of positive statistical categories this upcoming season. Meyer is a talented guard that understands how to score at a high rate, how to handle under pressure, and how to play off of the ball once she passes to her other teammates. In general, she really keeps it simple but she plays off of two feet and she is really crafty in all of her attempts. She understands how to play off of her pivoting well and that helps her get a lot of clean looks at the basket as a whole. The Mustangs always bring the fire and strategy to the hardwood so I'm expecting more of that this Winter with Meyer's being their top dawg.

St. Edmond is going to be a team to watch out for this Winter because of the prospects they will bring in and who they will return from years past. Someone that is returning, that will lead their guard play is [player_tooltip player_id='988396' first='Chloe' last='Palmer'] at the SG position. Palmer scored over 220 points last year for her squad as their leader. This season they will bring in a monster in a 6'4 Post out of the 2029 Class so if those two can play off of each other, they should be in great shape moving into the Playoffs to begin 2026. They will have dominate size underneath with some fundamental production from their guard play in Palmer to follow so as long as they work on the little things, they should win some convincing games over the next few years.
