The phrase “Per 32” in Basketball refers to a statistical rate that shows what a player would average if they played 32 minutes per game — a common way to normalize stats across players who play different amounts of time. The formula to figure out your "Per 32" #'s is Stat Total divided by Minutes Played multiplied by 32.

[player_tooltip player_id='865326' first='Hadleigh' last='Schutt'] put up the highest numbers throughout the state when it comes to a players Per 32 from last year. Schutt averaged 41.2 PPG, 19.1 RPG, 5.6 APG, and 10 SPG as a Sophomore last year in this category. Which was head and shoulders above everyone else in this category throughout the year. That's what happens when you have the ability to do a little bit of everything from the guard position. Schutt can attack off the dribble, attack out of the post, attack from the mid-post, and kind of everything in-between. This Winter I'm hoping that Winside helps her out a little bit in all of these categories. If they can, they should win some convincing games throughout the Winter.

If [player_tooltip player_id='865318' first='Reagan' last='Meyers'] returns for Superior this Winter she is set to be a dominating player underneath the bucket on both offense and defense. Meyers, like everyone else in this piece, was another big game producer when it comes to her Per 32. She recorded 19.4 PPG, 14.6 RPG, 2.8 BPG, and 1.2 SPG in total. It makes sense as to why Meyers puts up these numbers. She is someone at 6'2 who is taller than most that try to matchup with her and she also is pretty athletic for her size. When you pair that, you get someone that can simple go over the top of the defense in 90% of situations that unfold. There is a lot to like from Meyers from a college recruitment standpoint. I'm not sure that Basketball is her future following these next two years but if it is, she will have a few options.

I think it's safe to say that [player_tooltip player_id='1326379' first='Emilee' last='Houchin'] of Bayard High School is their leading prospect as their PG in-charge. If we are considering the Per 32 numbers, Houchin almost averaged a double-double in points-rebounds. (10.9 PPG/8 RPG) From a PG standpoint, it's nice to see a guard who is willing to crash the boards as much as they are willing to score it but we see that in Houchin. She knows to lead off the dribble and pass then everything else will fall into place. Which is refreshing. When Bayard see's success this next two years, Houchin will have a hand in that. It's inevitable.

[player_tooltip player_id='817139' first='Jayla' last='Paulsen'] is a skilled prospect that many might not know about at this point in her journey. Paulsen is the type that can move between the 2, 3, or 4 spot on the Varsity high school floor. She comes in at right around 5'9 and she is fairly athletic for her position. Offensively, she has a fundamental shooting stroke with good awareness of situations. In reality, she can be versatile in everything she is doing on both sides of the ball. She can be your main scoring threat, she can move off as a cutter, or she can post up smaller individuals who might switch onto her. Paulsen put up productive averages last Winter as a Sophomore for South Platte. As long as she has been grinding this off-season, she should be able to do the same moving forward.

Another name to note on this topic is [player_tooltip player_id='879138' first='Emersyn' last='Spurgeon'] of Concordia High School. Spurgeon made her name known last Winter during her Sophomore campaign. She didn't average the highest numbers but she did stay consistent with what she brought to the table. She was always someone good for a few points, rebounds, steals, and assists. This Winter they will be looking to up Spurgeon's role. She will be an upperclassmen so I'm excited to see what she can do with a little more responsibility. If she handles it, like she has handled all other things up to this point, she is going to be just fine.
