The eyes of the South Carolina high school sports fan will soon be fixated on the many basketball courts spread out through the state. But for one weekend in early October, many of those eyes were focused on one set of courts in the Lowcountry.

Those courts are at the North Charleston Recreation Center – host site for the SCBCA Elite Camp. Hosted by the South Carolina Basketball Coaches Association, the annual event welcomes a number of the state's top-tier standouts.

We at Prep Girls Hoops also made our regular journey to the venue for the day's proceedings. Our coverage of the weekend's event concludes by spotlighting even more forwards and centers that had their balling shoes on that weekend.

Joseph may be one of the more underrated frontcourt players across the state. A [program_tooltip program_id='783909' first='Palmetto' last='76ers/A'ja Wilson Elite'] product, Joseph ensured Darlington would have a smooth transition from the 3A ranks to the 4A realm ast season. She nearly averaged a double-double last season for the Falcons – 16 points, 9.5 rebounds and 2.8 steals per contest for a Falcons team that concluded last season with a 16-10 record. Joseph currently holds offers from Voorhees, Coker and Claflin which extended her an offer back during the summer. Joseph was one of three from Darlington who received invites to Saturday's SCBCA Elite Camp.

Any conversation that mentions premier frontcourt forces across South Carolina ought to include Rush whose career has included stints with Oceanside Collegiate and First Baptist where she was a major element in getting the Hurricanes to the SCISA 4A championship game. Now, Rush has brought her talents to a 5A Division 1 Wando team that will remain in the state championship conversation before said talents are brought with her to East Carolina for her collegiate career. Her height advantage and length she has in the interior makes Rush extremely difficult to score on. Getting high-percentage shots, rebounding and 3-point accuracy are also reasons the Warriors have aspirations of playing basketball into March this season.

Legion Collegiate's loss turned out to be the gain of one of the premier 4A teams in the state in South Pointe. Murrell will play her final season at the high school level with a Stallions team that will once again have state aspirations. Murrell's stature gives any team she is on a noteworthy height advantage but she seamlessly fuses it together with an overall versatile offensive skillset. Her final season through the AAU ranks was spent running with FBC Legacy. She uses every bit of that stature to her advantage – not only as a scorer and rebounder but also as a shot blocker.

Voorhees. Morris College. USC Salkehatchie. All three have extended offers in House's direction and all three of said offers she has received in the last few months. Averaging 19.9 points, 14.4 rebounds, five blocks and 4.2 steals a game on top of playing with one of the premier travel teams in the state in SC Future will certainly do wonders for one's recruitment. House's athletic career has seen her not only play basketball but also volleyball and track and field as well. McBee is looking to make another push up the 1A food chain and more solid numbers from House are step one in achieving that objective.

Heath played in 24 games last season for 5A Division 2 Westwood. Coach Gregory Bauldrick is looking to Heath to be one of the featured names in the Redhawks frontcourt for the next several seasons. One can place someone like Heath in a starting five as either a small forward, power forward or as a more traditional big. The 5-foo-9 sophomore is in a good situation to continue to develop her game – both during the high school season with Westwood and during travel play with [program_tooltip program_id='783909' first='Palmetto' last='76ers/A'ja Wilson Elite']. Heath is showing signs she is ready to take that next step.
