Those who are aficionados of South Carolina girls high school basketball understand what the big days are on the hoops calendar. They also understand that one of those big days occurs roughly a few weeks prior to tip-off of the upcoming season.

That big day is the SCBCA Elite Camp, put together on an annual basis by the South Carolina Basketball Coaches Association. A large amount of the state's premier players converge on the Lowcountry to showcase and sharpen their skills as they prepare to sport their high school team colors.

We at Prep Girls Hoops made our annual trip to the North Charleston Recreation Center for the day's festivities. We unveiled our initial list of playmaking point guard that caught our attention and wanted to spotlight a few more.

Early last month, this skilled standout from 5A Division 1 Spartanburg landed her first offer from coach Johnette Walker and Newberry College. If she performs similarly to how she performed in North Charleston, many a collegiate coach will want Bridges sporting their colors when her Vikings career concludes. Point guard-small forward combinations are rare, but Bridges fuses together attributes of both with a high degree of efficiency. Bridges took to the court wearing Spartanburg's Vegas gold and navy-blue hues on 27 occasions last season and averaged 10.5 points, 7.6 rebounds and 3.4 steals per contest.

Livingston was one of three from 5A Division 2 Irmo to receive invites to Saturday's SCBCA Elite Camp. Livingston is a playmaker on both offense and defense and she places plenty of emphasis on making the right passes as well. The work she puts in away from the court certainly translates to game play. She averaged 17.6 points, 4.8 steals, 4.5 rebounds and 3.5 steals last season for the Yellow Jackets. The objective for Irmo after last season will be to improve against region opponents and carry that momentum into a state tournament berth. Livingston has the tools to help her Yellow Jackets with that.

Regardless of what happens this season, Leamon will enter the collegiate ranks as a state champion – Mauldin was the last 5A team standing three years ago. Leamon coming back to the Mavericks for one more season in orange and brown means Mauldin once again being in the 5A Division 1 contenders' conversation. She was one of two Mavs who secured invites to Saturday's SCBCA camp. Leamon played in 15 games last season for Mauldin and averaged 17.7 points, 4.9 rebounds and 3.3 steals per contest. She also achieved a major individual milestone in 2024-25 as she scored her 1,000thpoint.

Dates is rapidly building a profile as one of the premier 2029s in the Palmetto State. She may be 5-foot-7 but she has a height advantage over many of her peer guards. Dates understands the art of slicing and dicing through defenses and she will either finish strong at the rim or connect on a floater. She has no issues drawing contact and taking her chances at the free throw line and she effectively utilizes her length as much as she does her height. Dates had one of the signature eighth grade seasons last year wearing the colors of 5A Division 2 Goose Creek. She averaged 15 points and 1.1 steals in 2024-25 for the Gators.

We have caught plenty of glimpses of Adams as of late because of how she has performed with Team Unleashed South Carolina. Dutch Fork – a 5A Division 1 team – has not been short on talent lately and Adams is poised to add to that line of standouts that have sported the Silver Foxes' colors. Adams understands that the ability to score at all three levels is a great way to become a matchup problem for many defenses. Another way this can happen is by drawing contact and taking chances at the free throw line. The 2024-25 version of Dutch Fork compiled a 22-3 record.
