<p>Last season's Division 3 Player of the Year, Olivia Flynn, capped off a remarkable high school career and is now continuing her basketball journey at Western Michigan University. Her departure leaves a big void at the top, as Flynn's elite scoring ability, competitiveness, and leadership set the standard for excellence in Division 3. With her graduation, the race for this year's Player of the Year title is wide open—so the question becomes: who will rise to claim the crown next?</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Averie has firmly established herself as one of the most dominant players in Division 3 and a clear contender for this year's Player of the Year honors. The 5-foot-10 guard was nothing short of spectacular last season, leading the Flint area in scoring with 32.7 points per game, while also averaging 8.4 steals, 6.7 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 1.8 blocks. Her incredible production earned her a spot in the MHSAA record books 11 times, including new Flint-area records for most points (851) and steals (218) in a single season. A First Team All-State selection, Averie guided her team to the regional finals and will look to lead them even deeper this year. With her elite two-way ability, relentless energy, and scoring instincts, she's poised for a massive senior campaign.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Kyrah was a force on both ends of the floor last season, earning First Team All-State honors after putting together an impressive all-around campaign. The 5-foot-9 standout averaged 18.2 points, 6.6 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 7.5 steals, and 1.9 blocks per game, while shooting an efficient 47 percent from the field and 75 percent from the free throw line. Her relentless defensive energy and ability to fill up the stat sheet made her one of the most dynamic players in the state. Named the Cadillac Area Player of the Year, Kyrah led Evart to a Highland Conference championship and an outstanding 22-3 record. With her senior season ahead, she's poised to take her game to an even higher level and once again be one of Division 3's most impactful players.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Danielle was nothing short of transformative for Flint New Standard Academy last season, earning First Team All-State honors after completely changing the program's trajectory. The dynamic guard averaged an impressive 31.2 points, 6.5 steals, and five rebounds per game, powering her team from just three wins the year before to a 16-7 record. Her scoring ability and relentless energy on both ends of the floor made her the heart of Flint Elite's resurgence. Along the way, she eclipsed the 1,000-point milestone and piled up 653 total points on the season. With her senior year ahead, Danielle will look to build on that momentum and lead her team toward a district championship—and possibly another run at statewide recognition.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Lucy made an immediate impact as a freshman last season, earning First Team All-State honors and proving she's already among the elite in Division 3. The 6-foot-2 standout showcased her all-around game by averaging 21.8 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 4.7 steals per contest, while breaking Hackett's single-game scoring record with a 41-point performance. Remarkably consistent, she hit double figures in every one of her 24 games and scored 20 or more in 14 of them, helping her team set new school marks for most consecutive wins (16) and most victories in a season (20). With multiple Division I offers already in hand—and plenty more sure to come—Lucy is poised for another dominant season as she looks to lead Hackett to a district title and a deep postseason run, firmly placing herself in the mix for Division 3 Player of the Year honors.</p>

She powered Lumen Christi to a 19-7 record and a state quarterfinal appearance, averaging an impressive 23.4 points, 10.5 rebounds, and six assists per game. Her combination of skill, court vision, and competitiveness makes her a matchup nightmare for opponents, and her ability to impact the game in every area has already drawn multiple Division I offers. Widely regarded as the top player in her class, Kenna enters her sophomore season with high expectations and will be a strong contender for Division 3 Player of the Year honors.</p>
