Division 4 girls basketball is loaded with returning talent this season, as several standout players are back and ready to make an even bigger impact. From proven scorers and floor generals to defensive anchors and emerging young stars, these athletes are set to lead their teams on deep postseason runs. With experience, leadership, and championship aspirations driving them, the upcoming season promises plenty of excitement and memorable performances across the Division 4 landscape.

Mia has firmly established herself as one of Michigan's most dominant players, regardless of division, and it's easy to see why she's been named Division 4 Player of the Year for two straight seasons. The 5-foot-9 guard is an elite scorer with a deep bag of offensive moves—whether it's pulling up from range, attacking off the dribble, or finishing through contact at the rim. Despite being the focus of every opponent's game plan and often seeing double- and even triple-teams, she continues to put up staggering numbers, averaging 39 points, 12.4 rebounds, five assists, 4.6 steals, and 3.5 blocks per game last season. Mia scored over 40 points in 10 different contests and has already surpassed 1,600 career points heading into her junior year. Her ability to take over games in multiple ways makes her one of the most unstoppable forces in the state.

Bree made an immediate impact in her freshman season, earning First Team All-State honors while leading her team on an impressive run to the Division 4 state finals. The 5-foot-3 guard was the engine that kept the Panthers rolling, averaging 16.9 points, 4.6 assists, 4.1 rebounds, and 2.1 steals per game. Her ability to create off the dribble, knock down shots from the perimeter, and finish creatively around the rim makes her a nightmare for opposing defenses. Bree plays with tremendous confidence and poise, showing maturity beyond her years. After such a remarkable debut season, I'm expecting another standout campaign from her as a sophomore.

Irelyn was a major force behind her team's incredible run to the state finals last season, playing a pivotal role on both ends of the floor. The 5-foot-10 forward showcased her versatility and consistency, averaging a double-double with 16.6 points and 10.4 rebounds per game. Her strength inside, ability to finish through contact, and presence on the glass made her a matchup problem for opponents all year long. As she heads into her senior season, I'm expecting Irelyn to once again be a dominant and reliable leader for her team.

Lauren had an impressive junior campaign, earning First Team All-State honors while surpassing the 1,000-point milestone in her career. Despite battling through injuries, she continued to perform at an elite level, averaging 19.7 points, 5.2 rebounds, 4.6 steals, and 2.9 assists per game. Her scoring ability and relentless effort on both ends of the court were key in guiding her team to the regional finals. Now entering her senior season, Lauren will look to build on that success and lead her team on an even deeper postseason run.

Emersyn was the driving force behind Morenci's impressive 22-4 campaign that ended with a second straight trip to the state quarterfinals. The 5-foot-6 guard filled the stat sheet last season, averaging 15 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.2 steals, and 2.5 assists per game while earning First Team All-State honors. Her athleticism, energy, and ability to impact the game on both ends have made her one of the most sought-after prospects in the state. With several college offers already on the table, Emersyn is poised for a standout senior season as she looks to lead Morenci even further in the postseason.

Molly was a force for Kingston last season, earning First Team All-State honors after leading her team to a deep postseason run that ended in the regional finals. The versatile senior-to-be filled the stat sheet night after night, averaging 20.6 points and 8.6 rebounds per game while surpassing the 1,000-point career milestone. Her consistency and ability to take over games earned her the All-Thumb Player of the Year title. Now committed to Spring Arbor University, Molly will look to cap off her high school career by guiding Kingston even further in the state tournament.

Karis had an incredible sophomore campaign, earning First Team All-State honors while establishing herself as one of the top underclassmen in the state. The Grand Valley State commit was dominant on both ends of the floor, averaging 20 points, six rebounds, five steals, and three assists per game while guiding Sacred Heart to an impressive 21-1 record. Already closing in on 1,000 career points, Karis has proven to be a dynamic scorer and playmaker who thrives under pressure. With her talent and drive, she's poised for a monster junior season.
