Youthful Titantic Impact

Carl Albert is firmly in the mix as a 5A contender thanks to seniors [player_tooltip player_id='578039' first='Audrey' last='Plunkett'] and [player_tooltip player_id='574166' first='Jakary' last='Brown']. Plunkett recently made her college decision with a commitment to Washburn in Kansas. And in the scrimmage watched vs Collinsville, Brown shot it lights out from three. And brought fantastic energy on defense. Matching Brown's energy was a freshman, [player_tooltip player_id='1247730' first='Zoie' last='Johnson']. Johnson was all over the court as a defensive nuisance, especially on the ball, picking up 94 feet. She's quick and aggressive, even getting her hands up for deflections in the halfcourt. Johnson wasn't the only young Titan to make a mark on Saturday. Combo forward [player_tooltip player_id='1247007' first='Annabel' last='Crawford'] is a strong freshman, who can already battled with older players on the glass. But she's not limited to just fighting in the post. She started one possession with a board, pitched it ahead and then drained a trail three. Also can pump fake and get downhill to score. Crawford's twin sister Brynli is still recovering from an offseason surgery, but once she's back look out for the youth and energy of the Lady Titans to compliment their upperclassmen.

Ready for it Rams?

Owasso was impressive in a Saturday morning victory over McGuinness. Emporia commit [player_tooltip player_id='574224' first='Sarah' last='Yokley'] moved more onto the ball and was effective with her handle and feel. Especially as a taller and physical guard, she's a mismatch for a lot of opposing point guards. Making the backcourt all the more lethal was the two-way play of sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='992463' first='Macee' last='Pruitt']. Star potential continues to be on the horizon for the quick and skilled guard. Can fake out defenders with head fakes and more. Junior Madi Hill is making her way back from injury, and she has been a big force during her first two years of varsity play for the Rams. She wasn't at her best in the one match up watched on Saturday, but she'll make the Lady Rams even stronger and more versatile. Saturday will be a fun test for Hill and Owasso, as they'll battle with one of the best teams in Oklahoma, Lincoln Christian.

Conally is moving different for 5A sleeper Lady Irish. She's a quick and dynamic ball handler. Was carving up the opposition at the YFAC Previews. Quick and slippery when getting downhill, she can blow by the first defender. Then has the footwork and feel to navigate through traffic to be a strong finisher at the rim. Even was snatching ankles along the perimeter. Making the jump from a good player to a great player is a tough task. Based on Saturday, Conally has put the work in and is knocking on the door of being a great player.
