Last week we did an article talking about Class A moving into this Winter season but someone we forgot to mention while speaking about Omaha North High School was their main producer in the post, [player_tooltip player_id='759113' first='Justine' last='Tcheuhchoua']. Tcheuhchoua recently committed to a D1 program down south last week and she is ready to put together a rememberable Senior season. Tcheuhchoua is a monster with her back to the basket. She might only be around 6'0 but she makes up for her lack of height with skill, balanced coordinated, touch, and smarts. She is someone that can kill you with time and space or she can adapt and make things happen in a blink of an eye. Not to mention, she also defends her position and against other bigs really well. All & all, I'm not sure where Tcheuhchoua fits at the next level at the Forward position but I'm sure will find her niche early on and make the most of her college experience once she gets there.

York High School made the State Tournament last Winter as an 8th seed. If they want to make it back to Lincoln, this is a group that is going to be led by their returning Senior - [player_tooltip player_id='817148' first='Kinslee' last='Kern'] at the PG position. Kern averaged over 14 PPG last Winter to help out her team, while also being a top notch distributor to those around her. This season she will be looked upon even more as she will be their main producer returning in multiple positive statistical categories. She will need to create first for her teammates and from there, she will need to producer herself. If others can step up to help, I could see this group making some waves come Playoff time but we will just have to wait and see. I'm sure that Kern will have a season to remember though. Everything is lining up for this to be "her" team so I can't wait to see how that unfolds over the next six months.

Arlington High School will be dangerous once again this Winter with the personal that they bring to the floor. If you have been paying attention, this is a group that has done really well over the past couple of years because of their guard play at the 1 and the 2 position, their main killer being [player_tooltip player_id='757579' first='Emerson' last='Timm'] from the PG position. Timm is someone who averaged over 15 PPG last season while shooting over 42% from the field as she also dished out over 6 APG to her fellow teammates. Timm is a college level guard with a lot of promise at this point in her career as a PG. She could go play NAIA, JUCO, D3, or maybe even D2 ball somewhere if she feels motivated enough. Either way, we should expect this group to make a case again for the State Tournament over the next few months. They have all the pieces, now it's just about putting them all together.

Homer High School was another group that made it to the State Tournament last Winter as an 8th seed. This season this group will look to build on the foundation set in place in year's past but it won't be easy. They lose most of their top producers due to graduation so others will have to step up. Others like [player_tooltip player_id='996569' first='Lilly' last='Harris'] at the guard spot. Don't be mistaken though, this is nothing new to Harris. She was a prospect last Winter that put up really nice numbers, averaging over double digits in PPG as she also made her mark on other statistical categories as well. This time around she will need to find some new teammates to get the ball to, so that they can produce but that shouldn't be too difficult. Harris will be PG #1 and from there, everything else will fall into place. They just need to keep their heads down and to keep working.

I am expecting a lot of out [player_tooltip player_id='988348' first='Daley' last='Pelican'] this Winter with Johnston-Brock. Pelican, a 5'7 SG, was a noteworthy player last year when her team put together a season to remember but now that most of her team's production has graduated, this Winter is going to be different than year's past. Pelican has shoot the leather off the ball, she can defend her position pretty well, and she is smart when it comes to the X's and O's of this game. It's going to take more than that though if they group wants to build off of last year's success. They will be need to find another handler of the basketball and they will need some sort of Post presence down low. If they can find both of those things early on and Pelican plays her game, they should put respect stat lines as we move into the thick of the season. They just need to stay locked in mentally.
