The first contest date for Oregon GBX is just three weeks away, and Prep Girls Hoops Oregon has been working hard to scout incoming freshmen who have the potential to play varsity in their first year (and at the next level after they graduate). We have covered 30 of the 35 players on our class of 2029 watchlist. Here are the remaining five:

Freshman point guard [player_tooltip player_id='1264942' first='Lauryn' last='Garrigus'] is small and quick with great handles. She can bring the ball up under competitive pressure and find the open pass. Garrigus played up on FBC Oregon's 15U team (now named Oregon Top Prospects) over the summer. She displayed her ability to get into the mix on both ends against Cal Stars at the End of the Trail Northwest showcase. Garrigus navigated Cal Stars' tenacious full-court press and was a playmaker in transition. She used a quick first step to beat her defender to the rim. On one take, she beat the help defender with a scoop layup. On another take, she drew the foul at the rim. She showed nice form and hit the catch-and-shoot three from the top of the arc. Garrigus was also active on defense. She hustled, closed out, and tipped passes. The incoming freshman will be a great addition to North Bend (4A, Sky Em League).

Five-foot-5 freshman [player_tooltip player_id='1264936' first='Kodee' last='Kimball'] is a point guard who can shoot. She has great handles and vision and will be a valuable addition to the backcourt for Redmond this upcoming season and years to come. The underclassman played up with the Central Oregon Force 16U national team over the summer and has earned early college interest. At Redmond, Kimball will be the understudy to senior point guard and 2025 Intermountain Conference Player of the Year [player_tooltip player_id='842741' first='Mylaena' last='Norton']. The Panthers should return to the state tournament, where Kimball could have the opportunity to be seen on the big stage.

Freshman combo guard [player_tooltip player_id='1264944' first='Ela' last='Keliiheleua'] has great handles under pressure and is assertive with the ball. Like Garrigus, Keliiheleua played up on FBC Oregon's 15U team (now named Oregon Top Prospects) over the summer. She put in good minutes off the bench for her club team against Power 24 national champion Jason Kidd Select. Keliiheleua showcased her ability to be patient and poised as she brought the ball up under pressure to get her team into its offense. When she wasn't bringing up the ball, she had a knack for finding space in the press to support her teammates. Keliiheleua made V-cuts to get open on the perimeter. She went directly into a triple-threat stance on the catch. She hit a deep catch-and-shoot three. She put mustard on her passes. She made the right read in the pick-and-roll to lob feed the big inside. She didn't panic in the backcourt and found the pass to keep possession in a tricky situation. After stealing a pass in the paint, she pushed the pace on the bounce through traffic and found her teammate running the court for an easy take. Keliiheleua will join Sherwood with fellow incoming freshmen [player_tooltip player_id='1264956' first='Audrey' last='Poulivaati'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1208220' first='Zoe' last='Sanders']. With an infusion of freshmen talent, the Bowmen are favored to win the Pacific Conference title this upcoming season.

Five-foot-3 guard [player_tooltip player_id='1280958' first='Francesca' last='Koehnke'] is an “unbelievable” shooter who “throws in shots from everywhere.” She ran with [program_tooltip program_id='713147' first='Oregon' last='Elite']'s 15U squad over the spring and summer, and is expected to be on the club's top team, 17U Navy, next season. The incoming freshman will have her high school debut at Regis, a team that placed 5th in the Tri-River Conference last season.

Five-foot-5 [player_tooltip player_id='1264948' first='Ainsley' last='Ure'] is a strong and explosive guard who puts in the work on defense. Ure has a motor and is developing her ability to slow down and be a consistent shooter. The freshman should get playing time on Redmond's varsity squad.
