1 - Washburn

Washburn brings back a super talented team with one of the top prospects in the entire state, regardless of class. [player_tooltip player_id='1172427' first='Kesia' last='Boeshans'] is a Division 1 prospect and has all the tools to excel at the next level. She was an All-Region selection as a freshman and had a really good AAU season. The 6'3 forward runs incredibly well, has tremendous length, and excellent timing defensively. She is big time. [player_tooltip player_id='1212049' first='Chevelle' last='Obering'] is another All-Region returner and can score, defend, and pass. She is a college prospect and someone who can lead this team to state. [player_tooltip player_id='1220777' first='Sadie' last='Goven'] is a tremendous role player who averaged 7 points per game and 8 rebounds. The 5'9 junior will help the Cardinals win a lot of games this season. Bri Laning and Brooklyng Hetletved contibuted last season and will have bigger roles this year.

2 - Grant County/Mott-Regent

The Jaguars return 10 seniors from a team that made the state tournament in 2025. Players don't know what it takes to get to a state tournament until they actually do it. Returning so many players that experienced winning and getting there is a tremendous advantage for head coach Sara Seidler. She enters her 7th season and it might be the best one yet. Jada Ottmar is an All-Region returning senior hungry to lead this team. She will have an increased scoring load but will handle that challenge easily. Summer Meyer is an All-District returner who will have a shot at the All-Region team this season. She is another quality scorer and one of their best rebounders. Allison Grist had a great end of the year at tournament time and impressed coach Seidler with her basketball IQ. She will have an expanded role this year. Emily Manolovits is a great defender and is usually tasked with guarding opposing team's best player. This team has a nice mix of post players and guards. They can play multiple styles of offense and defense and will be really tough to beat.

3 - Garrison

The Troopers narrowly missed out on the state tournament last season. They had a great year still, winning an impressive 18 games. They return their entire starting lineup. [player_tooltip player_id='359445' first='Cara' last='Schlehr'] returns for her senior campaign having eclipsed the 1000 career point milestone last season. She also set the record for most career assists. That will be a record that will be hard to break with another season full of great passing in 2025-2026. [player_tooltip player_id='1104745' first='McCall' last='Chase'] came in as a 7th grader and had a great year last season. She averaged double figures in points and had an impressive 100 steals on the year. The All-District player will have a shot at making the All-Region team this year. Senior Abigail Heinzen is another All-District returner who is poised for a great season. She is good at a little bit of everything. [player_tooltip player_id='1104655' first='Addy' last='Iglehart'] and Morgan Torr are two quality role players for this squad. Garrison could easily come out of Region 4 this season.

4 - Bowman County

The Bowman County Bulldogs are another team that graduated a lot of key players, but return enough athletic players to be very competitive. The returning varsity letter winners spent all last year practicing against one of the best teams in the state, so they should be hungry and ready to show what they are capable of. [player_tooltip player_id='1101747' first='Jordyn' last='Honeyman'] is their top returning scorer and someone I predict will make the All-Region team this season. She is a dynamic guard with good length and speed. She will be the focal point for this team both offensively and defensively. Teagan Homelvig and Raegan Stadheim are two other players head coach Jaci Mmak will look towards as big contributors. Seniors Livia Bowman and Carlee Miller are two leaders who have waited patiently for their chance to play varsity basketball. Quin Andrews and Charlee Blaser are quick guards that are going to be key disruptors defensively for this team. If the Bulldogs can get some chemistry under their belt the first few games, they will be a team no one will want to face come tournament time.
