The Caddo Lad Bruins are 4-0 which shouldn't be too shocking considering they've made State four straight times in Class A. But this impressive start includes a Madill Winter Classic championship and a win over 6A program Deer Creek. Prince is one of their top players and she's started the season on a tear. With 17 points in the season opener win over top 10 Class B team Turner. Then a 23 point and 9 rebound performance against a quality Class 5A team, Durant. Prince and company where runner ups last year in Class A, their second Silver Ball in 3 years. But based on this start, this could be the team which finishes the job for the southeastern Oklahoma program.

Joining Prince in powering Caddo's title chancers is Daniels. She's a flat out sharpshooter, who can change games with her ability to catch fire from three. She hit four times from deep for 16 points in the win over Turner. Daniel has been a very productive scorer for a few years now in the small town ranks. She made the move north on highway 75 from Calera to Caddo.

The Lady Oilers are looking for their third straight Class 2A tournament appearance. As a sophomore, Mong and her perimeter shooting helped them claim the crown. After a quarterfinals exit last year, it sounds like Mong is on a mission. She had a full stat line performance in a season opening win over a good Class 4A Kingfisher team. She went for 13 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. She then followed that up with 18 points and 11 rebounds in a win over second ranked class B-1 Canute. Their tough schedule will continue with an appearance at the prestigious Bertha Frank Teague Mid-American Classic over Christmas break

This past weekend, Hartshorne defended homecourt at the Pick and Shovel tournament. The Southern Nazarene signee is a sparkplug guard. She had a full stat line of 7 points, 6 rebounds 6 assists and 3 steals against Wilburton. Then followed it up with 12 points and 5 dimes in the title game win over Class 6A Sand Springs. Keep an eye on her freshman running mate [player_tooltip player_id='1221002' first='Grace' last='Miller'], who had 17 points vs Sand Springs. They're also helped by junior Addison Bernardio, a floor spacing threat.

Amber-Poccaset is third in Class A with a 5-0 mark. They're led by a duo of Sadies. [player_tooltip player_id='846996' first='Sadie' last='Linn'] is a quality guard with good size and can hurt the defense in a variety of ways as a scorer. In their win over Riverside, she had 11 points with three triples. This week they're looking for their first title of the season as the Burns Flat Tournament. Later this month, they'll be in the Mustang Holiday Classic

The other half of Amber-Poccaset's Sadie duo. Franklin is healed up from an injury that derailed her spring and summer. She's already had productive games of 14 points and 6 rebounds vs Riverside. Then 18 points and 8 assists in a recent win vs Walter. The Letoureneau (TX) commit has deep range from three and is one of the top players in Class A. While the Lady Panthers have been recent regulars in OKC in March, they haven't won a title since 1985.

Top ranked Class B-1 Red Oak has one of the more underrated shooters in Oklahoma. Branscum is a 1,000 point scorer who went off for 9 three pointers against Class 2A second ranked Howe. She's not the only sharpshooter on the Red Oak roster, as fellow senior Presley McClary can also fill it up from deep. After coming up short in Area last year in Class A, Branscum and company are well positioned to potentially become the first team to win the new Class B-1 classification.
