[player_tooltip player_id='661032' first='Harmony' last='Williams'] was fun to watch in both games I saw her play this weekend. St. Anne's-Belfield picked up an overtime win against Georgetown Visitation to start day 2. Harmony was great in this game, and she showed a few things I didn't see as much on the first day. Both of these teams ran zone for a large part of the game, and they both found a lot of success. STAB put Harmony in the middle of the zone, and she consistently made the right play. She had a handful of great passes and hit some mid-ranges early. She put the ball on the floor well, and her tenacity on the offensive glass was a constant issue for Georgetown Visitation.

Alyssa Fitzgerald was on fire shooting the ball from three against St. Anne's-Belfield, and she was able to do it in multiple ways. Alyssa handled the ball more than anyone on the team, but still found ways to dominate this game as a catch-and-shooter. She did a great job passing the ball, then relocating to a spot to get a good look. She used pump fakes on closing defenders to get herself open, and she had a few ball screens early, which she used to get good looks off the bounce. Georgetown Visitation was really successful against this STAB zone, and it forced them to go man after Georgetown took a 6-point lead late.

Christ the King didn't have a good offensive day against Bishop Ireton, and one of the only bright spots for me in this one was Josephine Pinnock. Josephine did a great job getting to the rim, and even though her shot wasn't falling, she was a big part of Christ the King being up most in the first half. Josephine has great size for the position, and her mix of handle and vision made her one of the best guards at this event.

[player_tooltip player_id='897837' first='Geornae' last='Davis'] had the challenge of guarding one of the best players in the country, Olivia Vukosa, and I thought she did an amazing job. Geornae is incredibly strong and plays with a great motor. She's constantly around loose balls, and her defensive effort was a big reason Ireton held Christ the King to 45 points. She had a few nice finishes and some good passes to shooters as well.

I think you can make the case for [player_tooltip player_id='443362' first='Londyn' last='Ferguson'] being one of the best transition players in the state. She puts together her quickness into pinpoint passing as well as anyone. When she started to insert herself in this game more, it was when Ireton started to take over the game. She hit a big dagger three late that helped seal the win.

[player_tooltip player_id='946893' first='Kamiera' last='Willis'] was outstanding on both ends for Bishop Ireton. She competed on defense, and she knocked down a handful of threes. She was clutch down their stretch, and her shooting was part of why Ireton started to run away with it against Christ the King. Kamiera is another underclassman for one of the most promising teams in the DMV. Kamiera was as good as any perimeter defender I saw this weekend, and she had 15 points against Christ the King.
