2027s Inside the Top 30

Our scouts have been actively evaluating high school prospects in the months leading up to this rankings update. We have expanded our 2027 class rankings to include 373 total prospects ranked and on the Watch List. These six prospects moved up in the top 30.    Kyra has the physical attributes and fundamental skillset of a true high-level post prospect. She was a big name attending the P2W Headliners Invitational and earned a higher ranking. Kyra is effective in screen and roll actions. She also has the range and confidence to bury jumpers on the perimeter. Kyra finishes through contact with power and protects the rim as a shot blocker. Kyra wins interior battles for positioning and rebounds. She's mobile, versatile, and a pillar player in the Lansing Catholic program.     Leah missed a significant amount of time due to injury, but she's back on the court and off to a great Junior season for Hamilton. Leah's long frame, passing instincts, athleticism, defensive presence, and ability to score at all three levels make her a top 25 guard in this class.     Taylor has the athleticism, length, and skill needed to be a high level guard prospect. She showed it on the travel circuit and has consistently stuffed the stat sheets in several categories for Fremont to start the season. Her defensive and rebounding impact really separates her from most guards. Taylor sees the floor very well, gets to the rim, and has great passing instincts. She's a double-double threat every night.     Brynn committed to SVSU in September and she's off to a hot start for Jenison. Brynn's length and scoring abilities make her a prototypical high level guard prospect. She disrupts the opponents offensive flow with her active defensive presence and works hard on the glass. Brynn drilled four triples against Zeeland East and is a consistent sharpshooter from beyond the arc. She takes the ball hard to the rack for layups and makes the effort plays.     Leigha stepped into the spotlight and put up two monster performances. In September, she turned in an impressive First Team All-Showcase outing at the PGH Expo. Leigha followed with an MVP showing at the P2W Headliners Invitiational in October. Leigha stepped outside to hit 3s, beat defenders to the rim off the dribble, and powered through contact to score layups. Her strong rebounding, physicality, fierce competitive drive, and defensive effort stand out every time we see her play. She's consistently proven her value as a college post.     Gretel is a gym warrior who has a passion for the game and the work. Her commitment to training on the court and in the weight room has paid off. She left no doubt that she belongs with the top guards in the state when I saw her in the U.P. over the summer. Gretel was one of the best prospects in the gym, regardless of class, at the [program_tooltip program_id='928192' first='Zero' last='Star Basketball'] Showcase. She's an excellent facilitator, lockdown defender, accurate three-point shooter, and fundamentally sound offensive player. Gretel scores, leads others, and makes the effort plays. She checks the boxes and has an offer from Michigan Tech.
