Monday morning, Prep Girls Hoops Indiana posted the Winter update for the Class of 2029. There were more than 25 new prospects added to the 2029 watch list, far more than any other graduating class this time around. However, this article focuses on the prospects who entered the update already on the watch list. Below is a look at a handful of 2029 prospects who have been playing well since the Fall update, but they might not be pouring in the points or super flashy with their efforts...they're just productive.

Gabby is an extremely long, wiry, and fairly athletic combo guard who has helped the Shamrocks quite a bit this season, especially when it comes to providing some stability in the backcourt. She has shown the ability to knock down open jumpers outside when she's set and in rhythm, but she is also a very good free throw shooter and can use that as a weapon as well. She is a willing rebounder, a nice passer, and she has a very bright future ahead of her. Gabby is averaging 10.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 2.2 assists on a very tough schedule for Westfield.

Hadley kind of goes against my comment about pouring in the points, as she is averaging 17.1 points per game this year. However, she is still quite a bit under the radar from a statewide perspective. Hadley stood out in the Fall at our Freshman showcase, and she has carried over that strong play to her high school season. She has also buried 40 3-pointers and is shooting 32% from the arc. She can and will act as a traditional point guard on occasion, and that's probably what will suit her best at the next level, but for now, look for her to continue lighting up scoreboards each time out.

Compared to many other members of Brownsburg's roster, Ava isn't very tall, but she is quick, fast, and feisty. She is a skillful, talented point guard who allows the Bulldogs to breathe a bit when on offense, because they have needed a more traditional point guard for a couple of years now. Ava is able to initiate the offense, get the ball where it needs to go, or attack gaps and collapse the defense. When she's on defense, she can bother ball-handlers, she can anticipate as well and will get her hands in passing lanes, plus she is a willing rebounder at her size.

Don't look now, but East Central has gotten through a short lull of talent and is building back up quickly behind several really nice younger prospects. Lilly is a nice-sized wing for them, and she can make plays off the dribble or shoot/score the basketball on her own. She can knock down an open rhythm jumper but look for that part of her game to only improve as she continues to gain experience and get reps in the practice gym. In the meantime, look for her to continue being a matchup problem for opponents.

Angel is seeing a little bit of Varsity action this year, averaging 3.3 points and 5.3 rebounds per game as a rookie. However, she is dripping with potential, and she showed that while participating in the Prep Girls Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase. Angel is strong, athletic, and she plays with a very nice motor. She is an excellent rebounder and defender, but look for her to diversify her game a bit as she continues to work on developing her face-up jumper and her handle. The potential is there, now she just needs to put it all together, which should happen sooner rather than later.
