has continued to impress as one of the more fundamentally sound offensive players in Indiana’s 2029 class. The East Central standout brings a polished skill set and a strong feel for the game that allows her to consistently make winning plays offensively. Maple has the ability to score from multiple areas on the floor while also making smart decisions with the basketball.
She does a great job using her size and footwork to create opportunities around the basket, while also showing touch from the perimeter. Her ability to play within the offense while still being aggressive as a scorer makes her a valuable offensive weapon. Maple’s consistency, basketball IQ, and overall offensive approach continue to make her one of the most intriguing young players in the state.

Lilly was a defensive stopper for Indy One EYBL 15U at the Great Lakes Kickoff on Saturday, and she quickly turned defense into offense. Lilly had great awareness in help, and she stepped in front of passes to create steals. Lilly penetrated off the dribble to score a speedy drive-by layup and changed directions suddenly with a spin to cause a foul. She knocked down both shots confidently at the line. Lilly understood spacing, moving to the opposite block when a teammate drove to the rim and made smart basket cuts from the perimeter. She generated steals with her perimeter pressure, used a shifty double-crossover move to get downhill, and had explosive quickness in transition. Her length, strength, ability to create space off the dribble, off-the-ball instincts, and defensive impact left a lasting impression.

Don’t look now, but East Central has gotten through a short lull of talent and is building back up quickly behind several really nice younger prospects. Lilly is a nice-sized wing for them, and she can make plays off the dribble or shoot/score the basketball on her own. She can knock down an open rhythm jumper but look for that part of her game to only improve as she continues to gain experience and get reps in the practice gym. In the meantime, look for her to continue being a matchup problem for opponents.

This was my first time watching East Central this season, and freshman forward

immediately grabbed my attention. She showed the poise, confidence, and scoring versatility of a much older player, proving she can put the ball in the basket from anywhere on the floor. Maple finished with 16 points against a tough Hammond Central squad—one that was just a game away from a regional championship last season. It was a significant test for a freshman, and she rose to the moment. Whether it was facing up, finishing inside, or knocking down open looks, Maple consistently found ways to score and keep her team competitive. Her skill set, size, and natural feel for the game make her one of the more intriguing 2029 prospects I’ve seen so far. With fours more years in East Central’s system, her ceiling is extremely high. I’m looking forward to watching her growth and development throughout her high school career.

I mentioned Lilly the other day in an article about 2029 wings, but she was again very good Friday. She has nice length, a wiry strength, and she’s a fluid and somewhat bouncy athlete. She can put it on the floor and get to the basket, but she also has some touch from around the perimeter. She could still grow another inch or two, and I think she’ll be one of those East Central kids who plays a lot early, maybe even starts for four years, and gains so much Varsity experience that she’s a lot more prepared to step into a college situation.
