Kate Limbaugh has been setting the tone in the middle of the floor for her Algona High School team so far this season. Limbaugh is a 6'1 Center that handles most of her matchups with her size advantage near the basket. Offensively, she thrives as a powerful finisher whenever she has time + space and she can also finish over the top against any smaller opponent. Limbaugh is playing efficient and sound Basketball right now, which is helping Algona dominate their competition when they take the floor. If they can continue to keep it simple with one game at a time, they should continue to thrive moving into Post season play.

Whenever #1 CCA needs something to happen, they call upon [player_tooltip player_id='509225' first='Averie' last='Lower'] to set the tone by letting a shot fly from anywhere behind the three point line. The crazy part? That shot is going to fall a majority of the time. It's been so automatic with some of the Clippers sets this Winter that as soon as you see the play start to unfold, you should just start walking back down the floor the other way because it's going to be cash with all the situational stuff not playing a factor. Things like how far it is away, if she is being contested, what type of screen it's off of or anything in-between doesn't phase her and it's noteworthy. Lower is currently 38 for 76 this Winter from distance and her team is ranked #1 in the 4A Class with an undefeated record. Not a bad situation from the sound of it. At some point this Winter an opposing team will need to send 2 or 3 to defend this one if they really want to see what the Clippers are made out of and I can't wait to see how they respond.

You could consider [player_tooltip player_id='1204333' first='Lucy' last='Terrones'] a little underrated with how well she has started off her high school career over the past few months. Terrones is making plays as a Freshman behind other established playmakers of the Gilbert program right now as they battle right around the .500 mark on the Winter. Terrones is a well-rounded guard. Her handle is coordinated, she plays smart basketball, she communicates well with her teammates, and she always gives 100% effort on both sides of the floor when she laces them up. This is usually someone bringing up the ball as the 1 but with who they have on the roster right now, she moves to play at the 2 and 3 too if needed. There has been a lot to like so far this season with Terrones. She just needs to continue to grind to become the best version of herself. Something do-able with the foundation she has set in place.

[player_tooltip player_id='996522' first='Taylor' last='Franck'] has returned from injury and she has been showing out the past month from several different standpoints. Franck has been lighting the nets on fire from deep off the catch, she has been making quick moves going toward the bucket to help create for the others around her when the defense is being too aggressive, and she is making most of her open offensive shot attempts from all over the floor whenever the ball is rotated back to her. You can't ask for much more than that. Franck's return has helped her team grab a handful of victories against some skilled programs. Now they just have to keep things rolling to finish out their regular season.

When you have a prospect like [player_tooltip player_id='1060063' first='Kinley' last='Birt'] to accent your team, you are in good shape. Birt has been playing like pass-first PG #1 this Winter. Selfless and calm while controlling. Birt is getting everyone around her involved off of her creation, she is crashing the boards hard, she is defending and creating chaos with her pressure, and she is controlling pace-of-play with how the game is played in end-to-end speed. There are others who are scoring the ball but Birt is setting the tone by setting all of those players up for successes so that's really the most vital part when you think about it in the grand scheme of things.
