Here we have five prospects that we haven't mentioned so much this season as of late. These five individuals are hard-working prospects, that show their determination each and every time they take the court to compete. They might all be at different points in their high school careers but that doesn't change the fact that they understand how to hoop and how to help their team when it matters.

Spirit Lake needed players to step up this Winter with who they were returning on roster and they have been doing just that. Someone for this group that has been very impressive is one of their Freshman - [player_tooltip player_id='1202933' first='Albany' last='Reinke']. Reinke has already proven halfway through this year that she is a handful under the bucket with her size. She comes into the high school ranks at just over 6'0 and she has some pure skill in between the blocks to back that up. The 2029 Class is one that is fairly stacked at this point and Reinke just added to that even more when you watch her compete.

Coming into this Winter and [player_tooltip player_id='782509' first='Kennedy' last='Brant'] of Gladbrook-Reinbeck High School was one of our players to watch because of her combination of height (6'), coordination, and aggressive but calculated play. Brant has an edge to her. She isn't scared to mix it up with any other opponent on either side of the ball and that just speaks to her tenacity. As of most recent, Brant hit a big rebounding mile stone. This is someone that she should be proud of but not satisfied with. From the looks of it, she is going to be able to continue to play following this Winter season so hopefully she can build off of that momentum.

This season so far we have seen [player_tooltip player_id='909489' first='Alaina' last='Dreckmeier'] make game winning shots from deep. We have seen her earn her playing time within her new program this season because of her smart decision making and defensive stature. While we have also seen her ability to create and produce off of the basketball as a slasher, screener, or shooter from all around the hardwood. The key to being a great player is being able to produce without the ball in your possession so this is vital. I know there is some D2 interest around Dreckmeier. If she continues to compete at a high level, I'm sure that interest will continue to grow over-time but she is putting up a solid season so far.

We had some questions coming into this season about [player_tooltip player_id='582809' first='Emma' last='Boswell'] but she has gone right ahead and answered those questions with flying colors. The biggest one being, can she compete and put up convincing numbers while playing with another very talented PG/SG by her side ([player_tooltip player_id='510277' first='Izzy' last='Eisbach']). The answer to that question is a resounding, YES! Boswell is holding it down this Winter for Nodaway Valley and the Wolverines. She is a Top Five player throughout the state in total Rebounds and that includes all Classes and age-levels so you know that she is truly cleaning up off of missed attempts by the bucket with her high motor and perseverance. If this group wants to make a State run in a few weeks, Boswell has to show up every night. If she can do that, this group becomes really dangerous and a team that I would keep a close eye on as we move close to the State Tournament.

[player_tooltip player_id='560332' first='Avery' last='DeHaan'] has been taking her of her usual business up until this point in the season. DeHaan is a college level prospect, that moves around as a guard on the outside. She is a stable scoring threat on offense and a pesty defender on defense whenever she is trying to mess up the rhythm of the opposing team. When you watch DeHaan compete, you know that she is going to give it her all. It's just her nature and there is nothing wrong with that. That's what all coaches love to see.
