In this article, we look at impact players who put in the work. These are the players who help teams win through effort, anticipation, and consistency—doing the work that impacts winning. Whether it's rebounding, blocking shots, diving for loose balls, creating extra possessions, guarding multiple spots, or simply making the right play at the right time, their value shows up night after night.

[player_tooltip player_id='515059' first='Jayla' last='Willette']-Clips is a high-effort player who consistently impacts the game in ways that don't always show up in the box score. She rebounds well for her position and plays with strong anticipation, often beating opponents to loose balls and creating extra possessions with her effort. A selfless teammate, Willette-Clips does a good job of setting solid screens, making the extra pass, and embracing physical play on the interior. She can step out and knock down the three when needed, while also being tough and competitive around the basket. Defensively, she blocks shots and brings constant energy - the definition of a workhorse-glue player.

[player_tooltip player_id='1315674' first='Gessicah' last='Emma Francois'] brings the energy to every game and her stats tell the story. She posts respectable stats in rebounds, points, blocks, and steals. Francois is the player who fights for every possession. She is a player who gives her team extra possession with her effort on the offensive glass and going for loose balls. She is a few rebounds and a few points per game away from averaging a double-double for the season. (8.6 and 8.6). Warner also averages 2.3 steals per game and over 1 block per game. In the game that I observed, she was quick with her instincts and had a very good feel on the defensive side of the ball. Warner has held her own against some of the top players in the State. She is an impactful player who puts in the work.

[player_tooltip player_id='1232629' first='Abigail' last='Philistin'] is a high-effort player who brings the power and physicality to her team. On the offensive glass, she consistently produces second-chance opportunities through relentless effort. Sanchez chases down loose balls, gets the rebound, makes the extra pass, and gives her team extra possessions through sheer effort. It's not uncommon to see Sanchez defending the toughest player or switching to the toughest player and making the opposition work. Sanchez is the workhorse player whose impact cannot be measured on the scorecard. She instills confidence into her team - a team that made it to the final four last season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1242772' first='Maiyah' last='Standifer'] was one of the most impressive athletic power forwards I observed this year. Her activity around the rim and ability to dominate on both ends of the floor was telling. Standifer averages 7.1 points per game and 10.9 rebounds and has the ability to sustain a double-double average for the entire season. Defensively, Standifer averages 2.1 blocks per game. She is a true workhorse whose effort, physicality, and consistency make her an impactful player every time she steps on the floor.
