<p>Selecting one girl to recognize as Player of the Week was a true challenge, but we wouldn't have it any other way. Several players made a strong case, but one standout became the clear choice for this week's award. Those who had a dominant week worthy of consideration have been included in the article as Honorable Mention. Here are the girls who had an outstanding week seven. It's time to celebrate their accomplishments!</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Mia became the 35th player in MHSAA girls basketball history to reach 2,000 points, posting her fourth and fifth career 50-point performances in the same week. Mia hit 2,000 points during a 67-30 win at Posen, putting up a dominant effort with 50 points, 28 rebounds, seven blocks, and six assists. She followed with a jaw-dropping quadruple-double performance during a 81-12 victory vs. Wolverine, scoring 54 points with 12 rebounds, 12 steals, and 10 assists. Mia set a state record by averaging 41.2 pts/gm as a freshman and has averaged at least 39 points/10 rebounds per game every season. She's a 2 time AP Player of the Year and is in a prime position to win the award again. Mia's averaging 40.6 points, 14 rebounds, 7.6 blocks, 3.3 steals, and 5.4 3PTM per game as a junior. She etched her name in the record book 23 times coming into the season and added five more records since. Mia's on the verge of becoming the most prolific scorer in state history. She has 2,054 career points and is on pace to break the MHSAA all-time scoring record (3,034). Mia is Michigan's PGH x Foster Swift Sports Player of the Week for Jan. 18th-24th.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Aubree tied Parma Western's single-game rebounding record with 26 during a 60-46 win at Coldwater and surpassed 550 career boards in December to become the Panthers all-time leading rebounder. She posted another impressive week, with 19 points and eight rebounds against Detroit Edison. Aubree added a dominant double-double, scoring 21 points and grabbing 23 rebounds in a 61-14 win vs. Pennfield.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Sophia was dialed in from beyond the arc, ripping the nets for 31 points during an 82-35 win vs. New Boston Huron. Sophia added six rebounds and three steals in the effort. She followed that with a productive outing of 19 points, four rebounds, and three assists in a 52-45 win at Milford.</p>

Sasha hit a new career high with 32 points against Royal Oak. She added six rebounds, four assists, three steals, and two blocks in the game.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Harlem had another explosive week for Birmingham Groves, setting a new personal record and checking off an important career milestone. Harlem crossed the 1000 point threshold during a 71-33 win at rival Seaholm. She put up a productive 25 points (4/9 3PT) with 10 rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Harlem erupted for a career high 52 points (19/20 FT, 12/19 2PT) in a 106-69 win vs. Berkley. She added seven rebounds, four steals, one assist, and one block in the victory. </p>
