Power Move Battle for First of the IAAM-B

<p>The IAAM is widely regarded as one of the strongest conferences in Maryland. With the dust settled—though the snow remains—the season moves forward. On Monday, the two top teams in the B Conference will meet in a pivotal matchup to decide first place. The game will be played at Severn School vs. Indian Creek, with tipoff scheduled for 2/2/25 @ 5:30 p.m.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">The Floor Generals</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Amyah is a fast-paced guard who handles the ball effectively with both hands while keeping her head up, whether looking to score or distribute to teammates in transition. She is currently averaging 11 points and four assists per game.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Peyton is a mild-tempered guard who thrives when facing quality competition. She handles the ball effectively with both hands, keeps her eyes up to find open teammates, and can also get downhill and finish at the basket. She is currently averaging five points and four assists per game.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Pure Scorers</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Kendall must be accounted for at all times, as she is a natural scorer from behind the arc. She is currently averaging 47 percent from the field and 29 percent from three, numbers that reflect her ability to score consistently at multiple levels.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Masara has not taken a shot she does not like, as she is a true multi-level scorer. She is most effective off the ball in scoring position, where she can attack the baseline or step back and knock down the three. Masara remains somewhat under the radar while averaging 18 points per game.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Picasso of the Paint</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Katherine plays with the mindset that every rebound belongs to her, often turning those possessions into second-chance points or quick kick-outs to guards to start the break. Defensively, she challenges every shot, and her impact shows in the numbers as she averages nine rebounds, three steals, and one block per game.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Ofundem is a walking double-double. Her energy and willingness to do the work in the paint set her apart, and she understands the importance of rebounding on both ends of the floor. She is currently averaging 12 rebounds and 10 points per game.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Un-ranked Swiss Army Knives</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Layla is the Admirals' stat filler who is willing to do the dirty work. She is at her best on the defensive end, while also being a reliable shooter. Layla is currently averaging seven points, three rebounds, and two steals per game.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Katelyn is the Eagles' stat filler with strong natural instincts. She is most impactful on the defensive end, where her stature and balanced footwork allow her to guard positions one through four in the open court. She is currently averaging five rebounds, three steals, and two loose-ball dives per game.</p>    <p>As noted, this game will determine the IAAM-B regular season champion.
