Amyah pushed the ball well in transition and consistently made good decisions in the open floor. She showed excellent pace, knowing when to speed the game up and when to slow it down under control. When the opportunity presented itself, she confidently pulled up for the mid-range jumper, delivered timely passes to open teammates, or kept her dribble alive to attack the basket. Her ability to read the defense and make the right play allowed her to create quality scoring opportunities for both herself and those around her.

Amyah is a fast-paced guard who handles the ball effectively with both hands while keeping her head up, whether looking to score or distribute to teammates in transition. She is currently averaging 11 points and four assists per game.

Amyah has had a great season so far. She has Severn at the top of the IAAM B conference and helped them with the All About the Girls Holiday Hoops tournament. She was named player of the game at the 695Hoops Public vs. Private Challenge for her stellar play on both ends. She’s always been a tough defender but this season she is more locked in with improved footwork and is fouling less. Her shot has improved and she is finishing better around the basket.

Amyah is a strong-willed and determined leader for the Admirals. She plays with pace on both ends of the floor and shows good decision-making with the ball in her hands. Offensively, she can create separation with a quick crossover or a step-back before confidently knocking down her jumper. On the defensive end, her balanced footwork allows her to stay in front of any backcourt matchup and consistently apply pressure.

Anyah has been getting some fall league bump and made a couple of appearances at the Rose Classic in New York. She is known for her tough and scrappy on ball defense, but she is adding new facets to her game. She has improved her playmaking skills and has added some range to her perimeter shot.

Amyah started off looking to pass and get her teammates going. Then showed that she can score herself pulling up in transition. She ran the floor and finished well and had a good showing once she decided to look for her offense.

Amyah is a pest on defense, leaving very little real-estate for opponents! I like her decisions on transition, strong court vision finding her teammates. From downtown, nothing but nylon! (Below on defense)
