Winter Rankings Update: 2027 Stock Risers

She is a returning All-State selection from last season and is one of the best guards in the state, regardless of Class. She is incredibly explosive and has a great first step. She is fearless going to the basket and has an array of finishes to choose from. She is a three-point threat and is also a good defender. Her competitive nature and work ethic really stand out to me. NSIC - be on high alert with Neshem.     Bartsch is one of many college prospect on Minot. She is averaging 12.7 points per game. She also has a very impressive assist-to-turnover ratio of 2.56. This means she makes excellent decisions with the ball and hardly turns it over. She is a great athlete and has good speed. I like her driving ability and her decisions on when to shoot or pass. She is a great three-point shooter with a smooth looking shot. Local schools should put Kinley on their recruiting lists ASAP.     Paityn is having the best season of her high school career. She is North's best scorer at 14.6 points per game. She is also averaging 5.6 rebounds and 2.4 steals a game. She is a powerful athlete with tremendous strength. She is able to bully smaller guards to the basket and is able to keep bigger opponents at bay. I think she certainly has potential to play at the next level. She isn't afraid to launch it from three, but will need to continue putting in work to bring up her shooting percentage. Her athletic ability makes her an intriguing prospect.     Zoe has huge potential as a college player. She stands at 6'2 and is a great athlete for her height. She is an All-District returner and should be a lock for an All-Region selection this season. She averaged 9.3 points per game and 14.6(!) rebounds per game last season. She also recorded 49 blocks. This clearly shows her value on the defensive side of the floor. Zoe has light feet around the basket and a soft touch. She could be an absolute beast.     Ava has excelled in her role as sharp shooter for a talented Horace team. She gets her feet lined up and is an easy target for her teammates to find. She is shot ready and shoots in rhythm which has led her to a 42% three-point percentage. She is a top outside threat in the EDC and makes Horace very difficult to defend. She plays solid defense and is a good rebounder.     Kambree is another All-Region returner and averaged a double-double as a sophomore. She has helped Tioga to an early 7-1 record. Johnson has continued tearing up Region 3 with stellar play. It seems every night I see a box score where Kambree is scoring in double-figures. She can shoot inside and out and is a threat from behind the arc. Her athletic ability, scoring ability, and frame make her an excellent college prospect. Local schools should have her on their radar.     Norah has stepped up for a Packer squad looking for points. She is one of two players averaging double-figures, currently sitting at 11.7 points per game. She is also averaging 5.1 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game, showcasing her ability to perform on both sides of the court. She is a long 5'9 and has good timing defensively. She has a quick release and a soft touch around the rim. She has potential to be an All-EDC player in the future.     Haylie has potential to be a really good high school player and has shown tremendous growth from last season. She is just shy of averaging double-figures on the offensive end and is capable of going off at any moment. She is North's most efficient three-point shooter at just over 42% from behind the arc. She is a great rebounder for her size, leading her team in rebounding at 6 rebounds per game. Hahnert is a true two-way player and is only going to get better.     Roberts is a returning All-Region selection for the Nedrose Cardinals. She averaged 13.9 points per game as a sophomore and is continuing to show her scoring ability this season. She does a good job of getting her team set up offensively as the primary ball-handler and isn't fazed by opponent's pressure. I like her vision with the ball; she usually finds the open teammate for a good look. Nedrose is off to a great start this season thanks to Ashley's great play.     Stollenwerk has made a step in the right direction this season with quality play. The 6' forward has excellent length and moves well on the court. She has an opportunity to be an outstanding defender and rebounder. She is currently averaging 4 points per game, 5.3 rebounds, and 1.9 blocks. She is tied for first in the EDC for blocks per game. Ella could be a formidable force with continued improvement on the offensive end.     Ava is another post who stands out as a prospect because she stands at 6'2 and can get up and down the floor. She has potential to be an All-District and even an All-Region type of player this season. She had a very good sophomore campaign and is helping Surrey compete night-in and night-out this season as a junior. I like her defensive and rebounding ability. I think Keller could be really good with continued improvement in the offseason.
