As the bulk of the Regional games start this evening, here are a few "X-Factors" that I expect to play important roles in their team's success over the weekend.

The 12-12 Warhawks are led by a nice group of underclassman none more important than the 5-7 sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='1744659' first='Teigan' last='Stuve']. Her play will be key in getting the #9 seed past Hamilton, a team that they split with during the regular season, with both road teams winning. Her stat line of 10.7 ppg, 4.6 rpg, 2.9 apg, and 1.1 spg has been solid but will need to improve on her 62.4% from the line to close out tonight's game and possibly tomorrow vs. #1 seed Pewaukee.

[player_tooltip player_id='892249' first='Morgan' last='Mocadlo']-Hortonville

The Polar Bears 15-9 record, playing in arguably the toughest conference in the state, earned them only a surprising # 8 seed in the bracket. The road for them is not easy as they start with a home game against 16-8 Holmen and at SPASH tomorrow, a team that they lost to by 16 in December. Everyone knows and game plans for [player_tooltip player_id='533074' first='Kardyn' last='Peppler'] but I see the 5-7 sophomore Mocadlo as the X-Factor and difference maker this weekend. For the season she is averaging a respectable 9.1 ppg but 10.4 per game in her last 8. The first player off of the Hortonville bench, Mocadlo immediately injects another level of defensive intensity, to an already strong defensive team, shoots the three at 40%, and can knock down free-throws at the end of games shooting 72.7%.

[player_tooltip player_id='874380' first='Olivia' last='Williams']-Bay Port

The #3 seed Pirates, 19-5 on the regular season, are poised for a strong tournament showing in large part to the play of the 5-9 junior Williams. For the season she is averaging 16.0 ppg, 3.9 rpg, 1.4 apg, 2.2 spg and has helped draw defensive attention away from [player_tooltip player_id='736760' first='Melia' last='Lemorande'] on the outside and opened up things, inside, for [player_tooltip player_id='874389' first='Kailynn' last='Thompson']. Bay Port starts with a home game tonight, against GB Preble, with defending champion Kimberly waiting for them tomorrow.
