Wire to Wire. [player_tooltip player_id='557354' first='Jenica' last='Lewis'] has been the #1 rated prospect out of the 2026 Class ever since she was in middle school and now she is going to attend ND knowing that she has cemented herself as one of the best ever in Iowa High School Basketball history. Lewis holds onto this spot while dominating throughout the past four years in every facet of the game. She finished things off this past week, bringing home another 5A State Title to Johnston. This caps off an incredible feat. Lewis helped lead Johnston at an undefeated record for the past three seasons. (That's currently one of the longest winning streaks throughout the Country at the girls high school level.) I can't wait to see what Lewis can do with the Irish. She has been a prime example of what an elite high school prospect looks like the past four years and this is only the beginning to her basketball journey.

Coming in at #2 in this final 2026 Update is Creighton WBB commit, [player_tooltip player_id='342205' first='Jayla' last='Williams']. Williams has a skill-set that is going to translate to the collegiate floor almost immediately once she gets on campus. She is a top-notch defender with elite athletic ability and a smart head on her shoulders. Those things are going to help her stand out almost right away on any floor when she competes. It's important to note that even elite high school prospects have an adjustment period to the college level but once Williams gets through that transition the first month, she should be a name we hear for years to come out of the Big East. It's been exciting to watch Williams on her journey over the past four years. She has proven time and time again that she is the best guard defender in Iowa and she is ready to take that ability to the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id='509225' first='Averie' last='Lower'] will go down as one of the best shooters in Iowa Women's High School Basketball history. Not only does Lower possess perfect footwork, hand-eye coordination, and shot form from any distance when shooting it - she also happens to stand around 6'0 with adequate athletic ability to pair along with that height. To give you an Idea, when CCA won the 4A Title a few years back, Lower put together a 50/40/90 season in her efforts as their starting SG. That's 50% or better from the field, 40% or better from behind the three point line, and 90% or better from the free throw line, all in one season. That's one of the hardest individual feats within the game of Basketball at any level. Those are the type of numbers that Lower can put up when she is playing confidently. This Winter she was automatic for her Senior campaign, making plays whenever and wherever she could. That ability is going to translate to ASU this Fall once she gets on campus. She just needs to continue to do her thing and worry about herself and the rest will be history.

Missouri is going to game-changer in PF - [player_tooltip player_id='582813' first='Ellie' last='Muller']. Muller, the 6'3 Forward, is great size for her position and she understands the game well. She isn't the type that forces any action. Instead, she lets the game play out naturally and she takes what is being given. Defensively, her reach and instincts help her control the lane at a high rate. She is always someone that opponents have to account for while they try to get to the bucket. If they don't, it's going to end in a block or an altered shot because of Muller coming from help-side. Muller demonstrated this Winter that she can be her team's go-to on offense when you get her into favorable positions with her back to the basket. They are going to be able to do that at Missouri in the future so that should play out well for Muller in the grand scheme of things. If she can get clean looks at the hoop with some space around her, she is going to FEAST against certain programs in the SEC. I'm not sure what the Tigers roster will look like so I'm not too sure about Muller playing right away but if she works hard enough and she finds her niche within the program, she should see the court sooner than later.

Rounding out our Top Five in this final Update is Iowa State WBB commit - [player_tooltip player_id='502100' first='Macy' last='Comito'] of Carlisle High School. Comito proved to everyone watching last week that she deserves to be in this Top Five listing to finishing off her high school career. What we watched her do this past season is nothing short of noteworthy. She led her team to a 4A State Title while DOMINATING her competition in every facet. The only team her program lost to this Winter was DSM-Valley out of the 5A Class and they only lost by 1 or 2, demonstrating that they belonged in the conference for one of the best 4A programs throughout the state of Iowa. When Comito looks back in a few years, she should be proud of her accomplishments. She put together a high school career that should get her jersey retired at Carlisle in the future and that's not something most others will be able to say.
