Leading the way is Clarke County senior Alainah McKavish, who earned Player of the Year honors after a dominant season and a state title. From dynamic guards capable of taking over games to versatile forwards impacting both ends of the floor, this group consistently delivered in big moments. Several players capped off historic careers, while others continue to establish themselves as rising stars within the classification. Together, these teams reflect depth, competitiveness, and top-end talent across Class 2.   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">First Team</h2>    McKavish earned Class 2 Player of the Year honors after leading Clarke County to a state championship while cementing herself as one of the most accomplished players in program history. The Shippensburg commit averaged 20.8 points, 7.1 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 2.7 steals, and 2.0 blocks per game, showcasing her ability to impact every facet of the game. She delivered in the biggest moments, including a 22-point, 11-rebound performance in the state title game and a 27-point outing in the state quarterfinals. McKavish's physicality, rebounding presence, and ability to push the pace make her a constant force on both ends of the floor. She finishes her career with 2,234 points, breaking a 40-year-old school record, solidifying her legacy as one of the top players in Class 2.     Witt established herself as one of the most dynamic scorers in Class 2, serving as the engine behind Union's offense throughout the season. She delivered a historic performance in the state semifinals with 38 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 steals, becoming the program's all-time leading scorer in the process. Witt entered the state final on an incredible scoring run, consistently producing high-level performances and showcasing her ability to score at all three levels. Her speed, ball handling, and downhill aggression allow her to put constant pressure on opposing defenses, while also creating opportunities for teammates. Even in the state title game, her presence and playmaking were central to Union's offense, highlighting her impact as a competitor and leader.     Giggetts played a central role in Chatham's historic 26-1 season, leading the Cavaliers with her elite scoring and defensive production. She led Class 2 in scoring at 22.5 points per game while also ranking among the state's leaders in steals with 5.7 per game, showcasing her two-way dominance. Giggetts consistently impacted games on both ends, combining offensive efficiency with the ability to create turnovers and transition opportunities. A Dogwood District Player of the Year and 1,000-point scorer, she capped off a decorated four-year career that included multiple deep postseason runs. Her leadership and production were key factors in one of the most successful seasons in program history.     Herron earned Region 2A Player of the Year honors after putting together a dynamic season as one of the most complete guards in Class 2. Averaging 18 points, 9 assists, and 4 steals per game, she impacts the game as both a scorer and high-level facilitator. Herron excels off the dribble, using her footwork, ball control, and creativity to split defenders, attack gaps, and finish through contact at the rim. She also shows the ability to score at all three levels while consistently creating opportunities for teammates with her vision and passing, especially in transition. With her energy, athleticism, and two-way production, Herron is a true playmaker who can control the pace and flow of the game.     Gorrell proved to be a versatile offensive threat for Strasburg, capable of scoring efficiently at all three levels. She stretches the floor with her ability to knock down perimeter shots from anywhere, while also attacking downhill with control and aggressiveness to finish at the rim. Her ability to draw contact and convert at the free throw line adds another layer to her scoring. Gorrell pairs her offensive production with defensive activity, using her instincts and effort to generate steals and disrupt opposing offenses. With her speed, ball handling, and feel for the game, she consistently impacts both ends of the floor.     Perry established herself as a reliable and versatile contributor for Ridgeview, highlighted by reaching the 1,000-point milestone in her career. She is a confident perimeter shooter who consistently finds space, gets to her spots, and knocks down shots immediately off the catch. Perry's ability to hit multiple threes in a game makes her a constant threat from beyond the arc. Beyond her scoring, she contributes across the board with rebounding, playmaking, and defensive activity, often recording double-doubles while also generating steals. Her all-around production and offensive awareness make her a key piece for Ridgeview.     Brown capped off a historic career at Liberty by becoming the program's all-time leading scorer and the VHSL's all-time leading rebounder, solidifying her legacy as one of the most dominant interior players in the state. A four-time First Team All-Region selection, she averaged 18.1 points and 17.2 rebounds per game while consistently producing double-doubles. Brown anchors the paint defensively, using her size, timing, and instincts to block shots and deter opposing offenses. Offensively, she controls the glass and finishes efficiently, while also showing the ability to step out and knock down perimeter shots when needed. Her presence on both ends makes a true difference-maker and one of the most impactful players in Class 2.     Lipscomb emerged as one of the most dynamic guards in Class 2, earning First Team All-Region honors while impacting the game on both ends of the floor. Averaging 16 points, 4 assists, and an impressive 7 steals per game, she plays with a relentless motor and high-level instincts. Lipscomb is a true three-level scorer, capable of knocking down perimeter shots, attacking downhill, and finishing in transition. She combines strong fundamentals with athleticism, showing polished mechanics, sharp decision-making, and the ability to facilitate within the offense. With her defensive intensity, scoring versatility, and competitive edge, Lipscomb is a complete guard and a player to watch moving forward.    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Second Team</h2>    Rachels made a strong impact in the paint for Prince Edward, using her positioning and physicality to control the glass and create second-chance opportunities. She excels at sealing defenders and establishing inside position, allowing her to finish through contact and convert and-one opportunities. Rachels is also a capable passer out of the post, drawing defenders and delivering timely bounce passes to open teammates. Her ability to stay composed and finish around the rim against pressure adds to her offensive effectiveness. With her strength, awareness, and interior presence, she is a reliable contributor on both ends of the floor.     Ward closed out a strong career at Chatham as a dominant interior presence, combining scoring efficiency, rebounding, and elite rim protection. She averaged 13.9 points and 11.1 rebounds per game while ranking second in the state with 3.8 blocks per game, anchoring the Cavaliers on the defensive end. A 1,000-point scorer, Ward consistently produced in key moments, including multiple 20-point performances during postseason play. Her size, motor, and ability to finish around the rim, along with a reliable mid-range touch, made her a well-rounded offensive threat. Ward's impact was instrumental in Chatham's sustained success, capping off a four-year run highlighted by deep postseason appearances and a dominant overall record.     Harris emerged as a strong interior presence, consistently impacting the game with rebounding and physicality in the paint. She is relentless on the glass, securing boards over multiple defenders and creating second-chance opportunities with smart positioning and effort. Harris does an excellent job following her shot, using her body and footwork to create space and finish effectively around the rim. She runs the floor well in transition, finding lanes and making herself available for easy scoring opportunities. With her ability to produce double-doubles and control the paint, Harris is a force on the interior and a key contributor for her team.     Stinnette capped off a standout four-year Varsity career as one of Strasburg's most complete and versatile players. Known early for her perimeter shooting, she has expanded her game into a physical, downhill attacker who can finish through contact and score in the paint. Stinnette is a true all-level scorer, capable of knocking down contested threes while also attacking gaps, splitting defenders, and finishing efficiently at the rim. Her ability to play and defend multiple positions adds to her value on both ends of the floor. With her strength, skill, and versatility, Stinnette has been a consistent and impactful presence throughout her career.     McKavish quickly established herself as one of the most versatile young players in Class 2, playing a key role in Clarke County's state championship run. She impacts the game on both ends with her scoring ability, playmaking, and defensive instincts, consistently turning defense into offense. McKavish thrives in transition, using her length and ball-handling ability to push the pace and create opportunities. In the state title game, she showcased her all-around impact with 13 points, 11 rebounds, 2 steals, and 3 blocks, highlighted by a momentum-shifting sequence in the second half. With her two-way presence and ability to influence every facet of the game, McKavish continues to emerge as a major piece of Clarke County's success.     Dales made her impact felt with her defensive instincts and ability to turn stops into scoring opportunities. She has quick hands and anticipates well, consistently jumping passing lanes and picking off entry passes to create turnovers. Once she secures the ball, Dales transitions seamlessly into offense, pushing the pace and making smart decisions in the open floor. Her awareness allows her to track down loose balls and stay involved in every possession. With her ability to contribute across multiple stat areas, Dales is a true two-way player who brings energy and activity on both ends.     Flippin put together a standout season, earning Shenandoah Player of the Year honors while showcasing her ability to take over games. She delivered a career-high 40-point performance, adding 9 rebounds, 6 assists, and 4 steals in a dominant win. Flippin thrives defensively, using her speed and anticipation to disrupt passing lanes, apply pressure, and create turnovers within the press. Once she secures the ball, she immediately pushes the pace, attacking the basket with confidence in transition in transition. Her energy, athleticism, and two-way impact make her a constant presence on both ends of the floor.     Osborne reached a major milestone this season, surpassing 1,000 career points while continuing to serve as a primary scoring option for Marion. She showcased her ability to take over games with a 24-point performance in a key district win, accounting for more than half of her team's offense. Osborne is a confident perimeter scorer who consistently finds space, moves well off the ball, and knocks down multiple threes in a game. She can also create her own shot, using her handle and step-back to generate clean looks from the beyond the arc. With her ability to score off the catch or dribble and push the pace in transition, Osborne is a dynamic offensive threat.
