Great Lakes Kickoff Preview: Potential Breakouts

The Prep Girls Hoops Circuit season has finally arrived! I traveled across the border from the Great Lakes State to the Land of Lincoln so I could see the talent firsthand at the Great Lakes Kickoff. This will be my first time watching many of these 15U prospects play, and with teams pouring in from across the Midwest, I'm expecting some electric matchups! Having teams from various states and circuit affiliations is like Christmas morning for a scout, and I'm thrilled to find out who the top hoopers are in this age division. Here are a few prospects who could be on the verge of a breakout performance.    Izzy secured a top 15 spot in our rankings by consistently excelling during AAU games on the S40 circuit, at showcases, and against older prospects at the Oakland U Elite Camp. Her footwork, advanced ball-handling control, court vision, passing precision, footwork in the paint, defensive awareness, and three-point accuracy were staples to her game. Izzy has length and deep range that immediately grabs your attention as a next-level wing. She averaged 13.5 points per game with Cass City as a freshman and dropped a season-high of 28. She's making her debut with MBA UAA 15U tomorrow and will be a prospect to watch at the Great Lakes Kickoff.     Kennedy has received praise from multiple PGH scouts from different states during her opening campaign at the high school level and I'm excited to see her compete with [program_tooltip program_id='834910' first='Example' last='Sports'] UAA 15U. Her three-point shooting, second-gear off the dribble in transition, slashing abilities, and defensive impact sound like game changing qualities that will be exciting to watch at the Great Lakes Kickoff.     Maliyah has length, athleticism, a compact build, and a fundamentally developed game that stands out on film. She gets downhill off the dribble, uses good footwork, and finishes with touch. Maliyah can knock down the open three, switch hands comfortably, and utilize a smooth high-pick up euro in traffic. I've got her name circled for [program_tooltip program_id='1605164' first='4C' last='Sports Academy'] 15U at the Great Lakes Kickoff.     Length and skill are a dangerous combination to have as a guard. Not many teams have 6-foot guards that can fill it up from beyond the arc, switch hands in the lane to finish off the dribble, create separation with a full bag of crossover combinations, and use every inch of the glass to score at the rim. Hadley looks like a big-time prospect to see on the court with [program_tooltip program_id='716186' first='M14' last='Hoops'] 15U at the Great Lakes Kickoff.     Jada had a very productive and impactful freshman season, stuffing the stat sheet with 349 points, 103 rebounds, 77 steals, and 42 assists. She has a silky smooth three-point jumper off the hop and keeps her feet balanced. Jada has skilled footwork, good handles, finesse, and a crafty finishing touch around the basket. She'll be a dynamic prospect to watch for [program_tooltip program_id='715894' first='Angels' last='Basketball'] 15U at the Great Lakes Kickoff.     Riley definitely stands out on film. She motors down the lane with long strides and finishes effectively using either hand. Riley has deep range and a smooth shooting stroke off the hop or the dribble. Her advanced fundamentals and length will make her a difficult matchup for opposing guards. She's a prospect to watch for [program_tooltip program_id='714232' first='Pink' last='Elite'] 15U National E40 at the Great Lakes Kickoff.
