Nelson had a great season where she saw her stock raise tremendously. One of the best pure point guards regardless of class. Stays well composed through opponents pressure and makes plays despite being guarded by multiple defenders. Nelson helped lead the Lancers to an undefeated regular season record in both region play and conference play and a number one ranking in the 4A State Playoffs. Nelson finished with 11.4 points, 3 assists, 3.3 rebounds and 2.9 steals per game. She picked up an offer from Pima College who just won the National Championship this past week. Expect Nelson the get more attention between now and next season.

Whitaker might be the quickest 2027 guard in Southern Arizona. She leads a talented Caballeros roster. She has speed and is very skilled with great vision and play making ability. Whitaker has some long range and can also score well attacking the basket. Whitaker put up 11.8 points, 2.6 assists, 2.7 rebounds and 3 steals per game this season. She had a season high 27 against a tough Cienega team. She will return for a senior year that should see her lead the Caballeros back to the playoffs and gain attention from college coaches.

Saucedo who transferred into Catalina Foothills this past season was a great addition to and already talented Falcons roster. In her first season with the Flacons she averaged 11.3 points, 2.6 assists, 3 rebounds and 2.2 steals per game. Already in her career Saucedo has 858 points, 224 assists and 186 steals. She had a very strong showing in the 5A state playoffs where she averages 20 points, 3.3 assists and 2 rebounds per game. A tough physical guard who can make plays through pressure. Has a good long range shot that she can knock down. Very dangerous when the ball is in her hands.

Clark is a talented defender. Makes great reads and reacts quickly. Great footwork and quick hands. Absolutely relentless on ball defender. Clark averaged 9.1 points, 3.3 assists, 4.3 rebounds and 4 steals per game helping Pueblo for undefeated in region play and 12-1 in conference play. One of her top games of the season was against Rincon where she had 13 points, 10 steals and 7 rebounds. Clark brings high energy and plays with a lot of confidence. Clark gained second team all 5A Southern Region Honors which featured many talented players. Clark will be expected for a bigger role next year for the Warriors should they look to get back to the playoffs.

Medina has been one of my favorite guards to watch play this season. She does everything on both sides of the ball you'd want from your lead guard. She is very vocal, a terrific defender, handles the ball well and has elite vision. Medina can get to the paint and scores effectively through contact. Medina finished as the Defensive Player of the Year in the 6A South region. She averaged 9.3 points, 5.6 assists, 5.1 rebounds and 4 steals per game while leading the Blue Devils to another 6A South Region Championship and 6A State quarterfinal finish where they lost to the eventual state champions by 1 point. I expect a strong off season that should see Medinas recruitment start to gain some traction.

Elisea is a fierce competitor who plays at her highest level every possession. Elisea finished with season averages of 10.1 points, 1.8 assists, 1.6 rebounds, and 2.4 steals per game in a season that saw her finish with first team all region honors. Very tough defender with good speed and great footwork. Will force her opponents into bad passes and come up with steals. Makes great passes and has a nice mid range jump shot. Has a quick step that allows her to blow by the defense and can score well through contact. Great season for Elisea.

Silvester is coming off a junior season where she was voted the 4A Gila Region Player of the Year. She lead the Mustangs to a region championship finishing 7-1 in region play and a trip to the 4A state playoffs. Silvester finished the season with 15.4 points 2.8 assists, 6.9 rebounds and 2.2 steals per game. A tough two way guard who can play through the physicality racked up nine double doubles including a game against Saguaro where she had 31 points, 11 rebounds and 8 steals. A relentless defender who guards the length of the court and forces her opponents to play out of their comfort zone. Expect a big senior season for Silvester this upcoming year.
