The PGH Midwest Kickoff begins on Saturday, and before the event, we will look at some players to know before the games tip off this weekend. In this article, we will specifically look at the underclassmen who may be of interest to any coach attending games in New Berlin.

The Franklin guard, in my opinion, doesn't jump out when you first watch her play. However, the more you see her, the more you'll appreciate what she brings to the floor. Pritchard understands how to run an offense and get the best out of her four teammates on the offensive end. She moves the ball, can knock down shots when given space, and can handle the ball against teams who want to pressure the ball. She's not a flashy guard by any means, but the way she plays will help maximize what her team can be over the course of a season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1241703' first='Payten' last='Marciulionis']

Honestly, there may not be a player in the 2029 class I have watched more than the D.C. Everest forward. Marciulionis is a player who has touch and can play around the basket, along with a solid perimeter jumper to keep defenders honest. Her high school team played a slower brand of basketball, which led to a successful season, but I always felt there was something to Marciulionis' game that we didn't see during the high school season, which is more than okay. I am eager to see how she fares with [program_tooltip program_id='712778' first='Purple' last='Aces'] this weekend.

[player_tooltip player_id='901242' first='Zamara' last='Gary']

The Madison Country Day guard has put together a solid first two seasons at the high school, helping her program each season. Gary has been among the top scorers in small-school basketball in her career, and her ability to knock down shots on the perimeter can swing a game in a few possessions. I didn't get to see her during the high school season, so I'm eager to see how she's improved over the past year.

[player_tooltip player_id='1234631' first='Crimson' last='Hansen']

The athletic tools will catch the attention of anyone who watches Hansen play this coming weekend. She's been playing up an age level the past two years, and will make at least one play per game to raise everyone's eyebrows. The Mauston native has the tools to be an excellent two-way prospect and has shown flashes of being a player who could break out at any moment, and could be a player who could impress people this weekend.
