Summer Hoops Radar Watch: 2029 Shooting Guards

In her first season with Lebanon High School, she showed this.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Barrett has one skill that ultimately was her main weapon in year one of her high school hoops career. That skill is her 3-point shooting. Barrett does a great job at moving around the perimeter and finding the gaps that the opposing defense leaves. She can capitalize on these chances by being a good catch-and-shoot scorer. She has a fairly quick jumper, and it also has a high arc on it. Both of these feats in her jumper allow her to avoid shot blocks. She is always fully locked into the game and is willing to do whatever it takes for her team to win. She displayed this skillset during her school season and in a recent summer basketball tournament with the [program_tooltip program_id='713852' first='STARS' last='Basketball Club'].</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>In the tournament, Crawford was providing great perimeter defense, and her effort shone through when she dove on the floor for a loose ball. On offense, Crawford drove to the basket with confidence and made several contested buckets by the rim.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Crawford also has a great perimeter jumper and, although listed as an SG, is more than capable of being a point guard in offensive sets. Dailey displayed her ability to score at all three levels. This includes a part of her game that has become more uncommon over the years, a pull-up mid-range jumper.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The most impressive part of Dailey at this tourney and the thing that jumped out the most was her willingness to fight for rebounds. Dailey is not afraid to get in the mix with bigger players and scrap her way to a rebound. She has an innate ability to find a way to progress possessions. Whether that is dribbling through a crowd of defenders for a layup or passing it to an open teammate, Hollins is constantly making the correct play.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Hollins' passing ability stands out in her game greatly. She does a good job at getting her center involved. With the heart that Jebsen shows on the court, she does a lot of the little things that help win basketball games. This includes boxing out. She does a good job of doing this regularly. Jebsen also has great speed. With this, she can close open gaps of opposing players quickly, limiting their scoring lanes and shooting windows.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Jebsen on offense has a good 3-point shot, and she is more than comfortable shooting it in a half-court offensive set or on a fast break.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
