We expect Olivia Wacha to be a Varsity starter once again this upcoming season. She started as a Sophomore last Winter, making her mark in different facets of the game. She stood out most with her rebounding and creating abilities but she also demonstrated that she can score at a solid rate herself while being a defender. Other than being talented on the court, Wacha is someone that a lot of coaches are drawn to with her positive energy. Not only can she produce on both sides of the ball, she can lead her team with communication and by example from the front of the pack like we have seen in the recent past.

You might not like it when she is on the other team but how Kamryn Fink plays the game is noteworthy. Fink isn't the tallest hooper by any means but she is a Letha rebounding threat on both offense and defense from the SG position. Offensively, she is an able scoring threat from several different levels, displaying an explosive dribble towards the bucket when she is looking to make a play in the middle of the defense. Defensively, she isn't afraid to physically get into her matchups and make them uncomfortable in either the full court or the half. When you take a peak at the numbers for the 2028 Class overall, Fink stands out as being someone that always shown up. That will be the case once again this Winter as she starts and leads her pack into a deep Post-Season run. (Ideally)

Ellie English was everything that she was suppose to be last season at BGM as a Sophomore but now she is looking to take things up a notch to the next level for her Junior go-around. English, the 5'10 CG/SF, led her team in PPG (11.5) and RPG (8.9) from the middle of the lane. She demonstrated throughout the year that she had a lot of versatility and could produce from anywhere on the court as long as her team spreads the floor properly. In reality she makes her money near the hoop but it's important to note that she can spread things out to the outside if she has a bigger defender trying to stick with her. If it's someone smaller, she is smart and strong enough to know that she can post up near the blocks for a simple attempt. It's really a pick your poison situation when you look at it from a defensive perspective. English will be someone we hear about a few more times as we move into this upcoming season. She is impactful and we will see that first hand over the next few years.

It's REALLY hard to miss Taylor Evans when she is competing in this game because she stands between 6'3 and 6'4. As you might imagine, Evans is a PROBLEM for teams under the hoop and near the middle of the lane. Her size and length is always noted by others but opposing players don't really understands how deceiving that height/length might be. If you look at her reach combined with her knowledge of the game and athletic ability - you get someone that could be a Center piece for any high school program out there. Don't get me wrong, Evans is still very raw within her basketball career but she brings positives to the floor, she just needs to keep on working on the little things. If she can do that, I'm sure she will end up being college committed before her high school journey comes to an end.

Isabelle Foglesong will return to the starting line up this season at Colfax-Mingo High School as their leading scoring threat on the offensive end. As a Sophomore Foglesong averaged just under 10 PPG while shooting the ball at a 29.5% rate. She also showed up in other categories like assisting, rebounding, and in the steals department with how active she was on the defensive side of the ball. This group has had some size in the middle but this Winter they are going to be Guard heavy so it'll be not Foglesong to make some things happen throughout the year. Something that she could definitely make happen in the grand scheme of things. It won't be easy but it's more than do-able for a prospect of this caliber.

Ridge View High School went 12-11 during the 2025-2026 high school season, mainly being led by their underclassman group. Someone from this group, that everyone needs to note because she will be starting once again this upcoming season and making even more waves than she did last year is Jayna Aschinger. Aschinger led the team with 14.5 PPG on 40% shooting from the field. She also grabbed 4 RPG and dished out 2.5 APG. She had most of this success coming from the SG position There were times when she would slide over to compete as her team's PG but you could tell that she is better as a SG/CG because of her play-style off the bounce. We have seen promise up until this point in Aschinger's career. Now it's time to see what she can do for the next two seasons as an upperclassmen.
