T. Jones demonstrated last Winter that she was someone that her Varsity team could rely on and that’s noteworthy considering that their group made the 4A State Title game. Jones came in off the bench most of the season and made an impact from then outside to kick things off. To earn her minutes to start the year she was really good in the aspects of catching and shooting from deep, hitting several buckets throughout the duration of the season. She also got to the hoop and finished a decent amount whenever the situation would call of it. Jones is going to be looked upon to make some big plays this upcoming season once again. She is holding her own right now during the travel season with her AIA team out of DSM as she moves into the Top 25 at #20 this time around and I’m sure she is excited to finish things off with a bang come July.

T. Jones was a vital piece to her DCG program’s success this Winter. Jones stepped on the floor early on in the year and demonstrated that she can make big shots in big moments. She primarily worked off of the ball on the outside, always being ready to catch and shoot from distance but she also showed that she can score by the bucket on either side with either hand, depending on the situation. Defensively, she is good with her side-to-side movement and that leads to a lot of success in her 1v1 matchups. DCG always brings the fire during the Winter season so I’m expecting Jones to become even better as she gets older within this system.

came off the bench this last season and she made some great plays down the stretch of some big contests. Jones mainly likes to move around the outside of the perimeter on offense, while being someone that can switch between multiple positions defensively at the guard spot. With the roster they had last season, it makes sense that Jones had to show her worth. This is a group made up of some talented upperclassmen, who know how to win meaningful contests so from Day 1 it was up to Jones if she was going to get any significant minutes throughout the Winter and she did just that. She played her cards right, didn’t force action making stupid mistakes, and in the end that helped get her on the floor and keep her on the floor when it mattered the most.
