Over the last few years, the NCAA has instituted a "Scholastic Live Period" over one June weekend, where college coaches are allowed to view potential recruits. Prospects may participate in events operated by their high school association or their state's coaches association. The Indiana High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) has entrusted this to the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association (IBCA), and the IBCA has operated both the Top 100 individual showcase, and a team showcase held at Fishers and Hamilton Southeastern high schools. Friday marked the first day of the team showcase, and with 117 teams from around the state participating this year, there was plenty of action taking place all day Friday and Saturday. The event serves as a great opportunity for players from the South to be seen by the rest of the state, and below are five such prospects who I felt played well when I was able to see them.

With the rise and success of the Floyd Central program, Jadyn has found herself on a deep team behind other talented players at times. But her Senior season she could turn from role player into go-to interior scorer. She has a nice combination of strength, skill, and athleticism. She is very physical on the interior, she does a nice job of establishing herself on the block, sealing her defender, and scoring with either hand in a variety of moves. But she can also consistently shoot it from 3-point range, and she's athletic off the bounce. Additionally, she's a versatile defender, inside or out.

Jayda has done such a good job of developing her game over the last couple of seasons, you can tell she spends a lot of time in the gym working on her skillset. She has grown a little as well throughout high school, she is very strong as a guard, and she sort of plays with a throwback, "old school" style. She does a nice job of utilizing her strength and frame by bodying defenders on the perimeter. When she gets that first step, she draws contact and can either get to the rim to finish or draw and-1 opportunities. Additionally, she is an accurate 3-point shooter, plus she has a nice pull-up game.

Quinn was an extremely fun watch this weekend. She is very quick/fast, feisty, and explosive. She was defending a talented prospect seven inches taller than her, but she held her on at all three levels. She is quick-footed defensively, she uses her hands well, and she is scrappy and creates turnovers while also containing ball-handlers. Offensively, she loves to get out and go in transition, she can get through gaps and put pressure on the defense, but she's also a solid communicator, runs offense, and finds teammates in positions to score. She isn't very big, but she's highly productive for TCHS.

Etta reportedly took the Spring away from the grassroots world to focus on individual skill development. She is a nice, smooth athlete, highly productive for the Panthers, and she continues to improve each season. She showed out so much in 2025-2026, that she was an Indiana Junior All-Star. She is long, wiry-strong, fluidly athletic, and bouncy. She can play a point forward role at times, she's a good attacker from the wing off the bounce, and she can knock down the occasional perimeter jumper when set and in rhythm. Defensively, she also plays with versatility and pursues rebounds well.

Kierstyn is a highly intriguing Southwestern Indiana prospect who might not yet have the popularity statewide, but she has already drawn her share of college onlookers. She is extremely long, fluidly athletic, and a little bouncy. She can utilize her height inside the paint to block shots, rebound, and score it over smaller defenders. She's also skilled with the ball in her hands, she can push it in transition and act as a point forward in their offense, and she can knock down an open 3-pointer when set and in rhythm. As she finishes growing and continues to gain strength, look for her to be even more effective.
