With the state of high school sports right now, and student-athletes able to so easily transfer these days, over the next couple of months there will likely be several basketball transfers moving from one high school to another. I would like to take this time and identify a few that we already know about. Obviously, there are rumors out there, but we will not include any prospect in these articles throughout the Summer unless they have already updated their PGH profile, they have listed it on one of their social media accounts, we have seen them in action with their new school, or their high school coaches have told us.

A 3-year starter at Monrovia High School, Grace has opted to attend Cascade for her Senior season. She is an active, athletic, and hard-working guard who does a little of everything well. She has played quite a bit off the ball, serving as a dangerous perimeter shooter. However, she does have ball skill, she can initiate the offense, and she can create for others as well. Defensively, she uses her quickness and length to bother opposing guards and create turnovers/deflections.

Bry'Lee moves with her sister (below) about 10 minutes South from Fort Wayne South Side to Wayne High School. Bry'Lee is a tough, hard-working, strong-for-her-size athlete who plays with a nonstop motor. She plays with about as much urgency as anyone at the defensive end of the floor, and she isn't afraid to "mix it up" or defend/rebound among the bigger front-liners. Offensively, she is more of a driver, but once again, she isn't afraid of attacking the paint.

I have always enjoyed Jayla's game, and now she will be North of Indianapolis at Kokomo High School. Jayla spent her first two seasons as a Pike Red Devil, and last year she was a Lawrence North Wildcat. Jayla has always been a respectable shooter, she has a quick trigger, and she can make 4th quarter shots, regardless of how the first three quarters have gone. She is handling the ball a lot more, running offense, and she has become a more aware, craftier defender on the ball.

Bri'Tanya is an up-and-comer who could surprise a lot of people. She is strong at her size, she is very quick and shifty, and she is a downhill playmaker who can facilitate or score the ball herself with a variety of finishes, runners, and floaters. I also like how, at the lead guard spot, she is typically very even tempered. It helps to keep her team poised. Still, she can become a terror on the ball defensively, and she can go to that place mentally to pour in the points from time to time.

Malyiah is one of the most talented 2029s in the state, and she has moved one school corporation East, from Indianapolis Pike to North Central High School. The Panthers have a nice core of 2027 talent returning this Fall, and while they each have their own skills and strengths, Malyiah could possibly provide them with a bigger, elite wing who can score the ball at all three levels consistently. She can create off the bounce, knock down shots, and she has talent defensively.
