PGH Summer Update: 2030 Court Generals on the WL

Each summer, we like to put out a Watch List for the incoming freshman class. These are players from across the state that we have become familiar with through observations during middle school, AAU, and showcases. The Headliners Invitational Showcase and observations of the 2030 class at travel tournaments over the past year have helped us expedite the process of identifying the next great high school prospects. Every kid on the Watch List is expected to be a key contributor to their high school program and is on track to have college opportunities at various levels.   The Watch List is not a ranking. The Watch List includes prospects we've evaluated from many clubs who are projected to play college basketball in some capacity, but it's much too early to predict where each kid will end up in the rankings. With physical maturation and exponential fundamental growth still in play, nothing is close to being determined yet. There are several prospects on the list who are competing for a high ranking, and we hope to see the freshman put their talent on full display at our staple Freshman Showcase in August!    Olivia put herself firmly on my radar this spring with MBA UA Future. She has great vision and instincts as the lead guard. Olivia weaves through defenders, absorbs contact, finishes with great dexterity at the rim using both hands, and has another gear when she pushes up the court. Olivia is a threat from beyond the arc and extremely aggressive on the defensive end. Her length and skill as a point guard will be a huge advantage at the high school level.     I had the chance to see Daly for the first time at the PGH Great Lakes Region Finals while playing up with Wisconsin Blaze Inferno 17U. She's going to be an instant playmaker for Menominee from day one. Daly already possesses a strong, compact build. She maintains excellent balance as she drives to the rim, absorbs contact, and finishes with strength in traffic. Daly is a court general. She sees the floor, handles the ball skillfully with both hands, sets up teammates, and has unselfish instincts. Daly moves laterally quickly to close driving lanes and plays aggressively on the defensive end.     Roniah disrupts guards with her aggressive perimeter defensive pressure, keeps her quick hands active, and turns steals into transition points. She can step outside to knock down open threes with confidence and distribute the basketball where it needs to go as the lead guard. Roniah handles the ball well using either hand, rebounds, and will be an instant contributor at the high school level.     Abby is a court general who looks ready to be an instant playmaker for Ida. Vision, tight ball-handling control, aggressive downhill driver, scrappy on-ball defense, smart instincts in help, and soft touch at the rim. She'll be an instant contributor in the backcourt.     Andie's consistently proven herself time and again. She's been a top performer at showcases and on the travel circuit with MBA UA Future, standing out as an advanced point guard prospect. Her skill, length, and athleticism check off the boxes to be a highly recruited prospect in this class. Andie creates space to drive, dish, and shoot with her shifty ball-handling. She's a threat from beyond the arc off the dribble or the catch and works equally hard to make an impact on the defensive end. DeWitt is adding another dynamic prospect to its backcourt.     Sofia put herself on our radar this spring on the PGH Circuit while playing up for CCE 17U. She ripped the nets consistently from three, split gaps with a burst off the dribble, and scored with strength at the rim. Sofia has a compact build, plays with balance, has the ball on a string, sees the floor, and works hard on the defensive end. She'll be a commanding court general and playmaker in the backcourt for Ovid-Elsie immediately.     Ayla has consistently impressed our scouts during games on the PGH Circuit with Mystics Chosen, and she's going to be an instant playmaker for Yale on day one. Ayla takes the ball hard downhill and has excellent vision as a facilitator. Balanced shooter, shifty handles, finishes well at the rim, active defender, tough, persistent rebounder--she's ready for a breakout freshman year.     Get ready for a dynamic one-two punch at Fraser. Ellie's a dynamic guard who looks ready to step into big shoes immediately. She's demonstrated a high level of confidence and skill at showcases. Her advanced ball-handling control, length, compact frame, deadly accuracy from beyond the arc, footwork, active defense, and finishing finesse around the basket have all been separators. Ellie can run the show as the one and play off the ball, so she's going to be an immediate player for Fraser.     The time has finally arrived for Lindy to make a splash at the high school level. Wayland had a great team last year, and they're adding an elite talent to their backcourt. Lindy has the ball on a string, deep three-point range, and X-ray court vision. Fundamental development, quickness, IQ on both sides of the ball, and a commitment to developing her craft, expect to see Lindy making an immediate impact on the court.
