In this article, we take a look at some of the standout prospects from the Newberry College Elite Camp held at FSCJ in Jacksonville, Florida. Players gathered to compete, learn, and showcase their talent in front of college coaches and evaluators. Throughout the camp, athletes displayed a variety of skills, from scoring and playmaking to rebounding and defense. Several prospects caught my eye and stood out at the camp.

[player_tooltip player_id='974196' first='Trinity' last='Dinkins'] was one of the most athletic and versatile players in the building and stood out throughout the camp. She was especially impressive in transition, where her speed and ability to push the ball from end to end put constant pressure on the defense. It was easy to see the hard work she had put in during the offseason, as her overall quickness, lateral movement, and straight-line speed looked different than before. Dinkens has the versatility to handle the ball, run the point-forward, knock down the perimeter shot, get to the basket, and set up teammates with the pass. At the Newberry College camp, when she got in the open floor, her different gear was evident, and few players could keep up.

[player_tooltip player_id='1232612' first='Emma' last='Esparza'] was one of the most polished point guards at the Newberry College Elite Camp. Her ability to facilitate, initiate, and knock down smooth left-handed shots made her a standout. Esparza showcased a strong handle, excellent court vision, and a natural feel for the game. That pull-up midrange shot in transition was deadly and poetic at the same time. She consistently put teammates in position to score while also creating scoring opportunities for herself. The combination of her playmaking ability, poise, and her soft left-handed touch made her one of the most fluid floor generals in the building.

[player_tooltip player_id='1232631' first='Sarah' last='Collins'] got after it and was one of the top offensive performers at the Newberry College Elite Camp. She consistently stood out with her effort and production, getting to the rim and finishing with either hand. Collins was creative at the rim and flashed a lot of athleticism, scoring with a lot of flair. Collins displayed a polished offensive skill set, knocking down shots from beyond the arc, scoring in the midrange, and finishing in traffic in the paint. Her versatility and length make her stand out and also make her difficult to defend. Collins' combination of skill, confidence, and offensive instincts helped her stand out among a talented group of prospects.

[player_tooltip player_id='1036691' first='Ava' last='Bruno'] brought tremendous energy to the Newberry College Elite Camp and was one of the most impressive players in the one-on-one drills. he consistently broke down defenders, using her quickness and creativity to get to the rim in a hurry. Bruno attacked with confidence and made it difficult for opponents throughout the camp. S. he also showed the ability to stretch the floor, knocking down three-pointers while displaying a solid midrange game. Her combination of speed, scoring ability, and competitive fire made her one of the standout performers of the event.

[player_tooltip player_id='515056' first='Lorena' last='Faber'] showcased her versatility throughout the Newberry College Elite Camp. The forward displayed stretch-four abilities, calmly knocking down a corner three-pointer. Faber showed good composure on the offensive end and proved she could space the floor when given the opportunity. She was also tough on the inside - active on the boards, rebounded well, and created second-chance opportunities. Several of her points came on quality putbacks, as she consistently positioned herself around the rim and capitalized on offensive rebounds. Her ability to contribute both inside and outside made her a valuable presence on the floor. On a team with three of the best young guards in the state, her ability to stretch the floor will create driving lanes for them to do a lot of damage.

Laiola Safford turned heads at the Newberry College Elite Camp with her length, athleticism, and ability to shoot from the perimeter. An under-the-radar prospect, Safford made an impact on both ends of the floor. While her defensive presence stands out, she also showed the ability to score in a variety of ways. Safford was effective attacking inside and demonstrated a reliable outside shot, particularly from the top of the key. Safford continues to improve her game, and her combination of size, defensive instincts, and perimeter shooting gives her the versatility to contribute in multiple roles on the court.

[player_tooltip player_id='721486' first='Amaya' last='Canady'] made a strong impression on coaches at the camp.
