The evaluation and rankings process was expedited this spring and summer due to the volume of Prep Girls Hoops tournaments in Michigan and mass participation by clubs and teams on our Prep Girls Hoops Circuit. The Prep Girls Hoops College Tour series and Prep Girls Hoops Michigan State Tournament gave us five chances to see prospects compete locally right here in Michigan. Nearly every club with college prospects in Michigan competed in front of our scouts at one Prep Girls Hoops tournament, and many clubs attended more than one. This reality created the perfect environment for us to evaluate prospects from across the state against various levels of competition.

After actively evaluating prospects during the first travel session, we now have 235 players ranked. Height, size, speed, athleticism, fundamental skill development, the position a player is projected to play at the next level, and performance in different competitive settings are all taken into account. Our goal with every class is to accurately group prospects into the correct categories of college potential/projection. By the end of senior year, each class breaks down into clear categories: Power Four/D1+, D1/D2+, D2/NAIA+/D3+/JUCO+, NAIA/D3/JUCO, and NAIA/D3 reserve. As I've written many times, the levels of college basketball intersect, cross, and differ in competitive ability throughout all the divisions. All high school classes do not have the same size, talent, or level of college talent. However, based on my tracking of commitments over the past three years, there appears to be a predictable trend in Michigan.

Based on data from the 2024, 2025, and 2026 classes, there could be approximately 410 or more prospects per grade who can play some level of college basketball. There will always be multisport athletes who don't do travel basketball or play in some remote area where we just don't get the opportunity to identify them for our rankings, despite our best efforts. Using averages from the past three classes, there may be anywhere from 10-20 D1 commits, 20-30 D2 commits, and 125-140 NAIA/D3/JUCO commits in a particular class. However, this 2028 class is clearly going to be an outlier. The number of prospects rated as D1/D2+ and D2/D3+/NAIA+/JUCO+ is greater than the typical average, with the biggest increase happening with 20+ prospects rated D1/D2+ and 55+ prospects rated as D2/NAIA+/D3+/JUCO+. The outcome of this surplus of talent/depth will hopefully mean more opportunities for these high school prospects to play impactful minutes at the best college level for them in Michigan, across the Midwest, and wherever they decide to go.

Adrian is one of the best stretch forward prospects in this class that most people downstate probably haven't heard of. Adrian looked impressive for Munising when they came down to CMU Team Camp. Her relentless motor, athleticism, length, mobility, strength, acrobatic finishing ability in traffic, confidence from three, shot-blocking, rebounding, off-ball instincts, and hard-nosed drives were separators on the court. She's a stock riser who has the potential to keep climbing the list.

Adrianna was a D3 All-Breslin Team recipient after a strong showing in the State Semifinals and Finals for Pewamo-Westphalia. She's continued to shine this spring and summer. Adrianna has length, strength, and skill that make her a matchup problem for guards and forwards. She steps outside to sink silky smooth threes on the perimeter, attacks off the dribble as a face-up driver, uses excellent footwork to create a scoring angle, and finishes with great touch using either hand in traffic. Adrianna can power through contact or finish with finesse. She moves well off the ball and takes advantage of her size by pinning defenders deep to score high-percentage buckets off entry passes in the low post. Adrianna protects the basket as a shot blocker and works hard to secure rebounds.

Brooke looks and plays bigger than 5-9. She combines length and quickness to cover ground in a hurry, giving guards and forwards a difficult assignment. Brooke's potential as a higher-level prospect really made an impression on us at Devenport Elite Camp and Oakland Team Camp. She can catch and finish layups going full speed, step outside to hit threes, slash to the hoop with a burst off the dribble, and use polished footwork to score in traffic. Brooklyn competes with an endless supply of energy and makes the effort plays. She's headed for a breakout junior year at Rockford and is a major stock riser in this class.

Kendall was a Top Performer for KBA 17U at multiple PGH Circuit tournaments. Her potential as a stretch forward prospect is very intriguing. Kendall moves well off the ball, pins defenders deep, and catches entry passes with good hands. She's persistent on the boards and forces misses with her length on the defensive end. Kendall is a threat to score from the perimeter and gets to the free throw line. She's a stock riser who put herself firmly on our radar over the past few months.

Andey was a major stock riser for CCE 17U over the past few months. Her length, physical strength, physicality, and versatile skill set stood out. Andey can defend and score inside as a traditional post, but she has pinpoint accuracy from the perimeter that can take over games. She handles the ball comfortably, finishes difficult shots around the basket with touch, holds her ground on the defensive end, and gives the team a strong rebounding presence.

Avary received recognition as a Top Performer at multiple PGH Circuit tournaments and was selected to the All-Tournament First Team at the PGH Michigan State Tournament. Her strong performances caught the attention of our scouts in and outside the state. Avary is strong, physical, and long enough to score and defend inside. She's a determined rebounder and protects the basket well without fouling. Avary has good vision as a passer, uses fantastic footwork to score in traffic, and can step outside to hit perimeter jumpers. She's effective as a face-up driver and scores through contact. Avary continued to impress at BCAM Reaching Higher and the Big North Shootout for Lowell; her recruiting looks ready to take off.

Lauer quickly became one of the biggest stock risers on the PGH Circuit. She was a frequent Top Performer for Dream Loudly EYCL and an All-Tournament First Team selection at Wayne State. The volume of games revealed that Lauer belonged inside the top 20. She possesses athleticism, size, and a versatile skill set that translates to high levels of college basketball as a prospect capable of playing guard, wing, and forward. Lauer can shoot the three, powers through contact inside to score off two feet, keeps her hands active to disrupt passes and shots on the defensive end, and rebounds with gritty determination. She has a non-stop motor, handles the ball well in the open court, and facilitates effectively. Lauer received D2 offers from Wayne State and Davenport.
