2028 Guards Impress at Alma Elite Camp

Alma hosted another well-run Elite Camp, bringing together a talented group of players for an afternoon of skill development and competition. Coach Sami led the campers through a variety of drills and skill stations, with the college players demonstrating each skill before the campers put them into action. The afternoon also featured competitive 5-on-5 scrimmages, giving players an opportunity to showcase their abilities in a game setting. The 2028 class was well represented, with several guards making an impact throughout the camp. Here are a few of the 2028 guards who caught my eye during the afternoon.    Quinn was one of the 2028 guards who impressed at the Alma Elite Camp. During the 5-on-5 games, she showed confidence from beyond the arc while also making her presence felt on the defensive end with active hands and intense pressure. Quinn did a nice job creating opportunities for her teammates, attacking off the dribble and finding open players with drive-and-kick passes. She also stood out during the skill work, excelling at both the ball-handling and finishing stations. Her ability to contribute as a scorer, playmaker, and defender made Quinn one of the guards who caught my attention throughout the camp.     Lexi was another 2028 guard who made an impression at the Alma Elite Camp. During the 5-on-5 games, she consistently attacked the basket with purpose and showed the ability to finish strong once she got into the paint. She also competed well on the glass, coming away with rebounds and helping her team create extra possessions. During the skill work, Lexi stood out during the finishing drills, displaying good footwork and body control around the basket. Her aggressive approach and ability to make plays inside made her a guard worth keeping an eye on in the 2028 class.     Elyse was another 2028 guard who caught my attention at the Alma Elite Camp. During 5-on-5 play, she showed a strong ability to attack from the baseline, beating her defender and finishing with a smooth inside-hand finish at the rim. She also did a nice job getting into the lane and making smart decisions once she had the ball in her hands. Defensively, Elyse was active and disciplined, using her hands to disrupt plays while consistently staying in good defensive position. Her understanding of the game also stood out during the skill work, as she quickly picked up the defensive concepts Coach Sami had the college players demonstrate and executed them correctly when it was her turn. Elyse's combination of offensive decision-making, defensive awareness, and coachability made her one of the 2028 guards who stood out at camp.     Londyn was one of the most entertaining 2028 guards to watch during the skill work at Alma Elite Camp. She has a quick first step and gets downhill in a hurry, using excellent ball-handling and a shifty change of direction to keep defenders off balance. Londyn made scoring look effortless during the 4 Down and Alabama drills, consistently creating space and getting to her spots. She was just as impressive defensively, staying active with her hands and making it difficult for players to get comfortable with the ball. Her smooth movements, offensive creativity, and defensive intensity made Londyn a guard who consistently caught my eye throughout the camp.       Taylor was another 2028 guard who impressed during the skill work at Alma Elite Camp. She was particularly effective at the ball-handling station, showing excellent control and keeping the ball tight as she worked through the drills. Taylor carried that confidence into the finishing portion, where she consistently converted around the basket. During the Alabama and 4 Down drills, she showed her ability to attack downhill and get to the rim with purpose. She also brought a physical edge on the defensive end, competing hard and making life difficult for the players she was guarding. Taylor's combination of ball skills, attacking ability, and defensive toughness made her one of the guards who stood out during the camp.
