Northwood Elite Camp Team MVPs

Northwood hosted an Elite Camp that brought together a talented group of players for a day of skill development, competition, and learning. The Northwood coaching staff led the campers through a variety of skill drills before the players put those skills to work in competitive 3-on-3 and 5-on-5 action, with plenty of elite talent on the floor. The Northwood players coached the teams throughout the camp, giving them an opportunity to work directly with the campers and evaluate their effort, skill, and performance. Campers also got to experience a Northwood team kickback, a staple of the program that gives teammates an opportunity to connect, be vulnerable, and build relationships with one another beyond the basketball court. At the conclusion of the camp, each Northwood player selected an MVP from their team. Here are the players who earned team MVP honors at the Northwood Elite Camp.    Madison, a guard who played on Lea and Kayla's team, was selected as the team's MVP after a strong showing at the Northwood Elite Camp. She consistently looked to attack downhill and showed no hesitation when defenders stepped in her way. Once she got into the lane, Madison displayed excellent footwork and body control to finish through traffic. She also made an impact on the defensive end and did a nice job creating opportunities for her teammates. Her ability to attack, make plays for others, and contribute on both ends of the floor made for an impressive performance.     Ellee, a post player on Kenzie and Karie's team, was selected as the team's MVP after a strong performance at the Northwood Elite Camp. Already holding an offer from Northwood, Ellee showed why she continues to be a player to watch throughout the 5-on-5 action. She ran the floor hard in transition, consistently getting rewarded with scoring opportunities, and was active on the glass. Ellee also excelled as a rim runner, creating pressure around the basket and giving her team a strong interior presence. Her ability to rebound, run the floor, and finish plays made for a strong showing at the camp.       Elaina, who played on Lexie and Stemmer's team, was selected as the team's MVP after an impressive showing at the Northwood Elite Camp. She was on a scoring tear during the 3-on-3 action, knocking down a three, blowing by her defender for a finish at the rim, and showing a soft touch with a floater in the lane. Her playmaking and scoring ability continued into the 5-on-5 portion, where she pushed the pace with her head up and handled the ball confidently. Elaina made several quality passes in transition, knocked down shots from beyond the arc, and consistently created opportunities for her teammates. Her ability to score and facilitate made her a major contributor throughout the camp.     Layla, who played on Grace's team, was selected as the team's MVP after a strong showing at the Northwood Elite Camp. She showed excellent court awareness throughout the camp, consistently creating opportunities for her teammates while also finding ways to impact the game as a scorer. Layla attacked the lane with confidence and finished well around the basket, while also knocking down shots from beyond the arc. On the defensive end, she was a pesky presence who made things difficult for opposing ball handlers. Her high basketball IQ stood out as she consistently made smart decisions on both ends of the floor.       Adrianna, who played on Ella's team, was selected as the team's MVP after putting together a fantastic showing at the Northwood Elite Camp. She caught fire during the 3-on-3 action, knocking down back-to-back threes before setting up a teammate with a perfectly timed pass on a backdoor cut. Adrianna also displayed excellent hands on a pick-and-roll pass, gathering the ball cleanly and finishing through traffic. Her ability to score from the perimeter, create for teammates, and make plays in traffic made for an outstanding day at the camp.       Kaylin, who played on Peyton and Gabby's team, was selected as the team's MVP after an impressive showing at the Northwood Elite Camp. She made an early impact during the drill work, knocking down shots from beyond the arc before attacking the baseline and finishing with a smooth inside-hand finish. Her playmaking ability stood out during the 5-on-5 action, as she consistently got downhill, drew multiple defenders, and found open teammates for scoring opportunities. Kaylin also ran the floor hard in transition, delivered a nice pass ahead for a teammate, and came away with multiple steals. She continued to show her range by knocking down several shots from three-point territory, giving her team another reliable scoring option throughout the day.     Delaney, who played on Taryn and Higgins' team, was selected as the team's MVP after a standout performance at the Northwood Elite Camp. She caught fire during the 3-on-3 action, knocking down four three-pointers to help keep her team on the winning court. Her shooting continued to be a major part of her impact in the 5-on-5 action, where she connected on several more shots from beyond the arc. Delaney also showcased her athleticism on the defensive end with an impressive block and a tremendous hustle play, chasing down an opponent in transition and tipping the ball away to prevent an easy basket. Her ability to score from the perimeter, defend, and make winning plays made for an excellent showing.     Reagan, who played on SJ's team, was selected as the team's MVP after a strong showing at the Northwood Elite Camp. She consistently created opportunities off the dribble, using a quick first step to get by defenders and attack the basket with purpose. Reagan also showed her shooting range by knocking down shots from beyond the arc, giving her multiple ways to score. On the defensive end, she competed hard and made her presence felt. Her combination of quickness, scoring ability, and defensive effort made for a great day at the Northwood Elite Camp.     Mia, who played on Anya and Avery's team, was selected as the team's MVP after a strong showing at the Northwood Elite Camp. She brought a high level of energy to the floor and was a relentless defender who consistently applied pressure. Offensively, Mia did a nice job getting downhill and creating opportunities for both herself and her teammates. She also showed her ability to stretch the floor by knocking down a shot from beyond the arc. Her defensive intensity, playmaking, and overall effort made for an excellent day at the Northwood Elite Camp.
