Alma hosted another well-run Elite Camp, bringing together a talented group of players for an afternoon of skill development and competition. Coach Sami led the campers through a variety of drills and skill stations, with the college players demonstrating each skill before the campers put them into action. The afternoon also featured competitive 5-on-5 scrimmages, giving players an opportunity to showcase their abilities in a game setting. Along with several players from the older classes, there was plenty of rising talent on the floor throughout the camp. Here are a few of the younger players who caught my eye and made their mark at the Alma Elite Camp.

Izzy showed plenty of versatility throughout the Alma Elite Camp, using her length and athleticism to make an impact on both ends of the floor. During the Alabama and 4 Down drills, the guard showed she can get downhill and attack the basket with confidence. Her length was also a factor defensively, where she created problems with deflections and blocks. Izzy displayed tight handles and good footwork during the ball-handling and finishing stations, while also shooting the ball well during the shooting portion. Her combination of athleticism, skill, and defensive activity made her someone who caught my eye throughout the camp.

Braylee was one of the more impressive ball handlers in the gym at the Alma Elite Camp, displaying tight control and the ability to change direction quickly. She is shifty with the ball and has a deceptive burst that allows her to slip through small openings and get to the basket. During the skill work, she also showed a reliable shooting stroke and knocked down shots throughout the day. On the defensive end, Braylee competed with toughness and brought plenty of intensity. Her combination of ball skills, quickness, scoring ability, and defensive effort made for a strong showing at the camp.

I've had plenty of opportunities to watch Irelynn over the last few weeks, and there's a reason her name continues to show up in my notes. She has been active at numerous camps and consistently finds ways to make an impact, and the Alma Elite Camp was no different. Irelynn excelled during the drill work, showing strong ball-handling skills and knocking down shots during the shooting stations. On the defensive end, she showed good instincts and a strong understanding of the game, frequently anticipating passes and jumping into passing lanes. Her consistency and ability to contribute in multiple areas continue to make her a player worth keeping an eye on.

Taylor showed a nice combination of ball skills, scoring, and defense at the Alma Elite Camp. The guard handled the ball well and consistently looked to attack during the Alabama and 4 Down drills, using her handles to get downhill and put pressure on the defense. She also showed she can make an impact on the defensive end with solid positioning and effort. Taylor added some smooth mid-range jumpers to her performance, giving her another way to score throughout the camp.

Charlee showed a strong interior skill set throughout the Alma Elite Camp. The post player displayed polished footwork around the basket during the drill work and carried that ability into the Alabama and 4 Down drills. She also competed well on the glass during those drills, showing a good nose for rebounds. Charlee has reliable hands and did a nice job keeping the ball high once she secured it, allowing her to stay strong with the ball around the basket. Her footwork, rebounding, and interior fundamentals made for a nice showing at the camp.
