2028 Guards Turn Heads at Northwood Elite Camp

Northwood hosted an Elite Camp that brought together a talented group of players for a day filled with skill development, competition, and learning. The Northwood coaching staff led campers through a variety of skill drills before putting those skills to work in competitive 3-on-3 and 5-on-5 action, creating plenty of opportunities for players to showcase their abilities. The Northwood players coached the teams throughout the camp, giving them a front-row look at the campers' effort, skill, and overall game. With a talented group of 2028 guards on the floor, several players caught my attention with their ability to make plays and impact the game in different ways. Here are the 2028 guards who turned heads at the Northwood Elite Camp.    Brooke was one of the 2028 guards who turned heads at the Northwood Elite Camp with her aggressive approach and ability to make plays on both ends of the floor. During 3-on-3 action, she attacked the basket with strength, finishing through contact and repeatedly crashing the offensive glass. On one possession, Brooke grabbed an offensive rebound, went right back up, and drew a foul. She also showed good footwork around the rim to finish scoring opportunities. In 5-on-5 play, Brooke handled the ball well in the open floor and turned a defensive rebound into a coast-to-coast finish. She also made an impact defensively with multiple blocks. Her physicality, rebounding effort, and versatility made her one of the guards who stood out throughout the camp.     Macy was another 2028 guard who turned heads at the Northwood Elite Camp with her ability to impact the game on both ends of the floor. During 3-on-3 play, she was active defensively and came away with numerous blocks while making it difficult for opponents to find scoring opportunities around the basket. Offensively, Macy showed a knack for finding openings, including a well-timed backdoor cut that led to an easy bucket. She was especially tough to contain near the rim, consistently finding ways to score and finish plays. Macy also showed she can stretch the floor during 5-on-5 action, knocking down shots from beyond the arc. Her combination of interior scoring, defensive activity, and perimeter shooting made her a tough matchup throughout the camp.     Madison showcased her ability to create offense throughout the Northwood Elite Camp, using her quickness, creativity, and aggressive style to keep defenders on their heels. During 3-on-3 action, she used a quick crossover to get by her defender and create scoring opportunities, while a smooth Rondo move proved nearly impossible to defend. Madison also showed strong court vision, delivering a great pass out of a pick-and-roll, and she consistently attacked the lane with good body control through traffic. She added a step-back mid-range jumper to her scoring arsenal and continued to attack aggressively during 5-on-5 play, where she was difficult to contain and collected numerous offensive rebounds. Her ability to create, score, and battle for extra possessions made her one of the 2028 guards who caught my attention at camp.     Gabby showed a well-rounded skill set throughout the Northwood Elite Camp, making plays as both a scorer and facilitator. During 5-on-5 action, she ran the floor hard in transition and was rewarded with a bucket, while also delivering a terrific pass that led to a scoring opportunity for a teammate. Gabby handled the ball confidently and displayed strong court vision, consistently keeping her head up and seeing plays develop. During 3-on-3 play, she added a step-back mid-range jumper to her offensive arsenal. Her combination of ball skills, passing ability, and ability to make plays in transition made her a guard worth watching in the 2028 class.     Jayna made her presence felt at Northwood Elite Camp with her combination of strength, quickness, and feel for the game. During 5-on-5 action, she used a strong spin move in the lane to create space and finish on a possession that was difficult for the defense to stop. She also showed good court vision with a well-timed pass in transition that created an opportunity for a teammate. Jayna was especially impressive on the glass, consistently reading the trajectory of the ball off the rim and using her quickness and strength to secure rebounds in traffic. Her ability to create inside and control the boards made her one of the 2028 players who caught my attention at camp.
