Intriguing Prospects From the Grassroots Season

Now that the grassroots season has ended, we will spend a few days looking at some players who haven't announced their plans to play at the next level. Plenty of 2027 prospects have committed to programs around the country, and some 2028 prospects in Wisconsin and beyond have announced their plans to play at schools at the next level. That said, we will look at some players who have excelled this spring and summer and earned looks from college coaches. At some point this week, potentially as early as tomorrow, we'll start posting All-AAU teams from all the high school age levels.    I was impressed with how well Harden handled herself against EYBL talent in Chicago at Nike Nationals. She's a skilled ball handler who handled herself well against athletic defenders and played through pressure respectably, considering she hadn't played many EYBL-level teams. There is a skilled lead guard who could compete at the next level, and I'm interested in where she'll wind up.     I've liked the progress that Accuardi has made in her three years at DeForest. The Norski is a skilled finisher around the basket and is a better perimeter shooter than what meets the eye. She has the range to be a productive interior defender and has been a reliable interior player everywhere she's played thus far. Her best basketball is ahead of her, and regional programs could use her at the next level.     The Kimberly native missed her junior season due to a knee injury, but returned to her [program_tooltip program_id='713328' first='Team' last='1848'] group this spring. Ver Bockel looked solid in her first few months back on the floor and showed flashes of what made her an intriguing frontcourt prospect in the first place. She played with physicality around the basket and showed that she could still space the floor offensively and knock down some perimeter shots. As she gets further away from her knee injury, she'll get better and could be a crucial piece for her Papermaker group this season.     The Dominican guard is a player who excels at doing the little things to affect the game. I like the energy she brings to the defensive end of the floor and how well she competes no matter who she's guarding. She's among the better rebounding guards I've seen in the past few years, and she doesn't play with any fear, no matter the situation. I love the motor she brings to the floor.
