Medina is arguably the top two-way guard in Southern Arizona. A floor general who can lead the offense with authority. Creates opportunities at a high level and is extremely tough. Finishes at the rim very well through contact. A knockdown shooter from beyond the arc. A consistent playmaker on both sides of the ball. A menace on the defensive side and rebounds very well for her position. Great leadership skills and will adapt easily to any program that picks her up.

Verdugo had a stellar junior year for the Caballeros. She returns as one of the top 10 scorers in the 5A Conference at 13.7 points per game. A physical and gifted rebounder who can score the ball well through contact. Has a lengthy wingspan and knows how to use it on the defensive end. Skilled shot blocker. A great all around player with a high ceiling. Look for Verdugo to have a big season that should see her land on some college recruiting boards.

Brooklyn might just be the best rebounder in the state. She eclipsed 1000 career rebound in her junior year and has been a force in the paint her entire career. This season Espinoza will get the chance to show more of her offensive ability. Her senior leadership will be heavily relied on and I expect Espinosa to show just how good she is. Plays with great confidence and physicality. One of the leaders in the state with Double Doubles. I expect Espinoza to be on the top of many in state colleges recruiting lists.

Safo returns as the sixth ranked scorer in the 6A conference averaging 16.6 points per game. She ranked in the top four with 14 double doubles in her confer and was top 6 in with rebounds per game at 9.9. Can play 1-4 effectively. A strong handle and good footwork when attacking offensively. Can stop on a dime a change direction then use a burst of speed to get by her defender. A high academic student and one of the top overall players in Southern Arizona.

Wexler is one of the top overall players in Southern Arizona simply because she can do it all. She can effectively run the point as well as show of some fancy footwork in the post. A skilled shot blocker who knows how to use her length. She was one of the top rebounders in the state and averaged a double double her junior season. She was named the MVP in the Southern Arizona Showcase that featured the top players throughout Southern AZ. Plays 1-4 and can impact from every position. Has Caitlyn Clark type range. Look for a big year from Wexler.

Addison is one of the more intriguing prospects in the 2027 class. The 6 foot wing is a sniper from beyond the arc. Crashes the boards with purpose and finishes well at the rim. High level post footwork and a dominant defender. Skilled shot blocker. A high academic student in the classroom holding a 4.25 Gpa and scored a 31 on her ACT. Elam has a high ceiling and is one of the top hidden gems in the state. Expect her recruitment to get momentum here very quickly.

Already receiving an offer to Pima (the defending national champions) there's zero doubt Kollasch will attract other options this winter. A tremendous leader on and off the court. High academic student in the classroom and a work ethic that's second to none. One of the more impactful players in the state when she's on the floor. She averaged 9.7 points, 5.2 rebounds. 2.2 steals and 1.5 blocks per game in her junior season. Kollasch will be a vital piece for the Lancers on their quest for a state championship. She will be a highly sought after prospect as she returns for her senior season.

There may not be a more hidden gem in the state than [player_tooltip player_id='1245898' first='Abigail' last='Alfaro'] of Catalina Foothills. The 6'2 PF/C has great strength and skilled post footwork that allows her to score very well in the post. Has a strong handle on the ball and finished very nice off the glass. She's coming off a junior season where she averaged 8.5 points, 9.2 rebounds and 3.2 blocks per game. Very dominant presence in the post. Rebounds very well and very quick to score second chance buckets. Abigail has transferred to Catalina Foothills from Canyon Del Oro and could be the missing piece for that elusive state championship game the Falcons have been one game away from the last two years.
