Talent Takes the Floor at Mystics Open Run

Mystics hosted an Open Run that brought together a talented group of players for an opportunity to compete, develop their skills, and showcase their games. The session featured competitive 3-on-3 and 5-on-5 action, giving players plenty of chances to make plays and show what they could bring to the floor. With a strong group of 2028 and 2029 players in attendance, there was no shortage of talent on display. Here are some of the players who caught my attention as the talent took the floor at the Mystics Open Run.    Evelyn showed a strong scoring touch throughout the Mystics Open Run, making an impact in both the 3-on-3 and 5-on-5 action. During full-court 3-on-3, she knocked down multiple three-pointers and showed toughness by finishing through contact. She also displayed good feel as a passer, delivering a terrific pass in transition, and used a smooth step-through move to create a scoring opportunity. Evelyn carried that perimeter shooting into 5-on-5 play, where she continued to connect from beyond the arc. Her ability to score from the outside while adding different ways to attack made her an intriguing player to watch throughout the run.     Emma brought a combination of speed, communication, and defensive toughness to the Mystics Open Run. During 3-on-3 action, she knocked down three-pointers and showed she can make defenses pay from the perimeter. In 5-on-5 play, Emma used a quick crossover to push the ball up the floor and take advantage of her speed in transition. She was also constantly communicating on the court and brought a physical edge to the defensive end, making it difficult for opponents to get comfortable. Her ability to contribute as a scorer while setting the tone with her pace and defensive effort made her a player who caught my attention during the run.     Jayla showed plenty of quickness and scoring ability at the Mystics Open Run. During 3-on-3 action, she used a quick first step to get downhill and put pressure on the defense. That speed carried over into 5-on-5 play, where she knocked down multiple three-pointers and gave defenders another challenge to deal with on the perimeter. Jayla also competed with toughness on the defensive end, using her speed to stay with opposing players and make things difficult. Her combination of quickness, perimeter shooting, and defensive intensity gave her several ways to impact the game.     Aubrey showed a nice combination of scoring ability, playmaking, and defensive toughness at the Mystics Open Run. During 3-on-3 action, she knocked down a three-pointer and showed she can provide a perimeter scoring threat. In 5-on-5 play, Aubrey's court vision stood out as she consistently kept her head up and looked to create opportunities for her teammates. She also competed hard on the defensive end, bringing a physical presence and making things difficult for opposing players. Her ability to contribute in multiple areas gave her a solid showing throughout the run.     Delaney showed a well-rounded game throughout the Mystics Open Run, making an impact as both a scorer and playmaker. During 3-on-3 action, she knocked down a three-pointer and carried that shooting touch into 5-on-5 play, where she continued to connect from the perimeter. Delaney also showed tight ball-handling skills, allowing her to create space and navigate through pressure, while her court vision and passing ability helped her find teammates for scoring opportunities. Defensively, she was a pesky presence who stayed active and made things difficult for opposing guards. Her combination of shooting, ball skills, playmaking, and defensive pressure gave her plenty of ways to contribute.
