The ability to be able to shoot the basketball at a high rate is something that translates to the next level in a number of different ways. If you can shoot it accurately from deep, in a quicker than average manner, then you could find yourself in a place within a collegiate program at the end of the day. In this article, we talk about five players out of Nebraska that can really let it fly at an accurate rate from far distances away offensively.

[player_tooltip player_id='871243' first='Madalyn' last='Dolliver'] was the only prospect at the high school level throughout the entire state of Nebraska last Winter that hit over 100 three pointers on her season. She actually hit 107 throughout her team's 29 game season. A season in which they went 28-1, bringing home a State Title. Not only did Dolliver hit this many shots from three, she did it with a 45% shooting percentage from that distance. It's easy to tell that this is a real shooter, who see's the ball go through the hoop A LOT. This season she will return, looking to continue what she did with these recording breaking numbers from a year ago. Dolliver has the advantage of competing with some really talented others around her and because of that, her opportunities are ample to say the least and she always makes the best of those chances, as you can tell.

Whenever we have heard about Leyton High School the past few years, we have heard about their SG/PG - [player_tooltip player_id='766561' first='Zaili' last='Benish']. Benish made over 77 three point attempts on just over 41% shooting during her 2023-2024 high school campaign, ranking her in the Top 10 in the state for three pointers made and three point percentage with at least over 100 attempts. Benish really does a little bit of everything from an offensive standpoint. I wouldn't say she is ONLY a catch and shoot player but it's definitely waters that she is more comfortable in. This Winter she will return with revenge on her mind for her Senior season. Her goal is going to be to go out and make it the best season of her basketball career. An objective that is more than possible at this point.

T-Niyah Wilson-Smith is not only a knock down shooter from around the outside, she is walking bucket offensively in most aspects. Wilson-Smith is the real deal while trying to score the ball. She has solid size at 5'11, she is pretty quick in her side-to-side movement, and she is a born competitor. Last Winter as Freshman she averaged over 20 PPG if I'm not mistaken and that is going to be just the beginning. If she continues to stack her days and get better in her weaker aspects out on the floor, then she is going to continue to be a killer to know moving forward into the future out of this state.

Bennington High School maybe in the most unique situation this Winter because of all of the talent that they will have returning. Don't get me wrong, they are going to take their lumps and bruises but in general, it'll make them better. One of their underclassman returning to the starting line up will be SG - [player_tooltip player_id='1045027' first='Skylar' last='Johnson']. Johnson is a natural shooter. You can tell just by the way she lets it go. No matter the situation, her fundamental shot always looks the exact same and that's the recipe of an accurate shooter, from a basic understanding. Johnson is also able to handle, create, and rebound but she definitely thrives at letting to go from three so hopefully that keeps up as she works on the rest of her play-style this upcoming Winter.

[player_tooltip player_id='824278' first='Alexandra' last='Albrecht'] is listed by her high school as a Forward because she is one of the tallest on her Varsity team but she more-so competes at the CG spot with how much and how well she shoots the ball from three point land. Albrecht made around 50 three point attempts last Winter, helping her average just under 18 PPG, while she also posted other positive stats throughout the year. This situation is similar to a lot of the others above. This is Albrecht's last go around as it pertains to high school ball so I'm sure she is going to leave everything out on the floor.
