Lindsay Super Scrimmage Eye Catchers

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Enjoyed having the opportunity to catch some action this past Tuesday at the Lindsay Super Scrimmage. Scrimmage featured team from Class 4a to Class A. Many teams used this as the last opportunity to scrimmage before kicking off their season December 3rd. I was only able to watch the first session of scrimmage. Even though she was the main focus of every team defense she still was creating opportunities to score for her team. A strong physical player that handled the opposing teams post players inside on defense. She always seemed to be around the basket for rebounds on both ends of the court. She first caught my eye with the outside jumper that she was knocking down all day. I began to notice all the small things she contributes to her team. Scrappy player on the boards that scored on several putbacks. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Again first time seeing Evalynn play this season. Only a 2028 that gets court time on a traditionally ranked program should say a lot. A lock down defender in the front court with her twin sister [player_tooltip player_id='1058782' first='Claire' last='Mapira'] gave opposing teams trouble getting into their offense. Nice handles that attacks down hill off the dribble. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>One game I watched Chloe got hot knocking down 3/5 from outside the arch. I have her listed at 5'11 but she could be over that 6'0 mark. A strong physical post up on the block giving the guards a nice target to feed her the ball. Tough over the shoulder move inside the paint that had opposing teams doubling down. Nice mid range high post jumper was very effective against the other team zone defense. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p> Great size, good hands, physical player and strong defense. Tuesday she showed the capability to handle the point position for a very young Tecumseh team that lost all 5 starters from last years team. Peyton showed great changed of speed off the dribble and used a tough spin move at times to get away from the pressure defense. A good outside shooter that knows how to create space to get the shot off. Displayed a high IQ as she was making sound decisions against the press defense. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A 2028 guard that should have a strong season as her young team gains experience throughout the season. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
