April Rankings Update: 27′ Power Forwards

Red All Conference Honorable Mention. Her length, quickness, high motor, downhill driving, and three-level scoring give opposing forwards fits. Jazanaye produced a 16-point and 13-rebound double-double vs. West Ottawa and added a 20-point, 12-rebound outburst vs. Grand Haven. She has good footwork, passing awareness, finishing touch, defense, and rebounding. Reese has the strength to back down defenders and score through contact. She understands when to pass the ball to open shooters. Reese had a solid sophomore season for St. Mary's Prep with a monster 22-point, 13-rebound game vs. Birmingham Groves and earned All-Catholic honors. She had a dominant 18-point performance with 22 rebounds vs. Plainwell and had another huge game vs. St. Johns with 17 points and 16 rebounds. Reece anticipates passes in help position on defense, using her length to cause deflections and create steals. She can contort her body to block shots without fouling on defense and beat forwards driving to the basket. She earned a Second Team selection on MLive's Bay City Dream Team, averaging a double-double with 13.6 points, 12 rebounds, and 2.7 blocks per game. Sophie uses the glass to score from different angles, can knock down perimeter shots, and is a strong rebounder.
