Huckaby put together one of the most complete scoring performances of the entire camp. A true three-level threat, she filled it up from beyond the arc, in the mid-range, and at the rim. What separates Mia is her mentality—she embraces the role of running the offense while still hunting her own scoring opportunities efficiently. She sliced through defenses in transition with eurosteps, consistently got into the paint, and showcased touch with her floater. On top of that, she created for others with drive-and-kick reads and showed comfort playing both on and off the ball. Her defensive effort matched her offensive production, as she moved well laterally, competed for 50/50 balls, and crashed the offensive glass. A true lead-dog performance.

Hebron Christian lacked outside shooting in their upset loss to Holy Innocents’ last year in the state title, shooting 0-19 from deep. Huckaby remedied that by shooting 3-7 from distance, coming off the bench to pile in a game-high 14 points to help the Lions win state.
