About Lorigrace
Expert Analysis
Darvoni Christopher | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Rockwood immediately catches attention because of the strength and physicality she brings to the guard position. She plays with toughness and confidence, and she does not back down from contact offensively or defensively. Throughout the spring, she consistently showed the ability to attack downhill and use her frame to create advantages against defenders. Once she gets momentum going toward the basket, she can be difficult to stop because of how strong she is with the basketball in her hands.
Defensively, Rockwood competes at a high level and embraces physical matchups. She has the tools to become a strong two-way guard because of her ability to pressure opposing ball handlers and play with energy. Offensively, she continues to improve as a creator and scorer, and there were flashes of her ability to make plays for teammates as well. As she continues refining her perimeter game and overall consistency, Rockwood looks like a player who could eventually establish herself as one of the tougher guards in Indiana’s 2029 class.

Lorigrace was an all-around difference maker for Team 4 at the Freshman Showcase, and she earned Top Performer honors as a result. Lorigrace is a compact guard with muscular development and a robust stature beyond her years. She set the standard for talk and communication on the court. Lorigrace kept her balance on hard drives to the basket, using effective two foot finishes, and earned several trips to the free throw line. She swished free throws with a confident follow through, took the ball hard downhill off the dribble, and converted layups with strength. Lorigrace used a sweet high-rip move and threw a perfect entry pass. She worked hard on defense and maintained a textbook athletic stance. Lorigrace drained a wing three, chased down rebounds on both ends, demonstrated off-ball IQ, and fired passes up the court on a rope.

Lorigrace has a fairly mature game for a youngster, and she could step in immediately and start for Guerin Catholic. She has a wiry-strong frame, she’s a solid all-around athlete, but again I go back to the veteran savvy she plays with as such a younger talent. She handles pressure, she plays with her head up, and she is willing to battle with physicality. She will rebound & defend, and she seems to have a competitive spirit. I didn’t get to see her shoot it much/often from the perimeter, so that’s a part of her game I would like to evaluate more.
