Expert Analysis
Grant McGinnis | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
#13: The Mountain Iron-Buhl freshman has had some serious development in her game over the course of the year. Having grown both in height and physical strength, Thomas is now a versatile two-way player who is willing to do whatever her team asks of her. Farrah can score in a variety of ways but is particularly fond of attacking the rim from the left, where she finishes at a high rate. The 5’9 guard/forward plays physical defense, is aggressive on the boards, and rarely gets outworked. Now entering her third season of varsity competition, Thomas should play a crucial role for the Rangers.

Thomas (pictured above) is easily among the top prospects in the 2029 class. With great size and a polished inside-out game, she poses a constant threat on the floor. She can score in a variety of ways and thrives under the spotlight, never shying away from big moments. While it’s no secret she prefers going to her strong left hand, defenders still struggle to stop her – she gets there consistently and finishes at a high rate. Unfortunately Farah chipped a tooth early in the day and had to leave for emergency repairs so we didn’t get to see her for as long as we would have liked.

Currently in her first season on the Fury’s top 2029 squad, this youngster from Mountain Iron-Buhl has taken major leaps in her game. Now taller and stronger, Thomas brings a physical presence to the perimeter. She has also become more skilled in her ball handling, shooting, and defensive skill sets. What hasn’t changed, though, is Farrah’s never-ending motor. Consistently one of the hardest working kids on the floor, she never hesitates to dive for a loose ball, save one going out of bounds, or put her body on the line to come up with a big play.
