Time to put on the full-court press—because this article is all about the backcourt! The 2026 class is loaded with guards hungry for recruitment and ready to get that phone call. From floor generals to scoring machines and from lock down defenders to playmakers - this group is deep, talented, and competitive. Here is a “fast break” look of the names you need to know, the ones who are turning heads, and the ones who are next in line. Let's dive into the list and spotlight some of the 2026 guards who are ready to ball out and get that first offer or receive more offers.

[player_tooltip player_id='214183' first='Taniyah' last='Davis'] is a versatile guard who can play the 1, 2, or even slide to the 3 depending on team needs. She excels with the ball in her hands and is a proven playmaker at the point guard position. A deadly shooter from beyond the arc, Davis has a reputation for raising her level of play in clutch moments. She's always been known for her versatility, and she's poised to take things up a notch this live period. One of the elite guards in Florida's 2026 class.

[player_tooltip player_id='470461' first='Kamie' last='Ellis'] is one of the most elite guards in the 2026 class, and her clutch performance in Lakeland still remain in our memory bank - a masterclass. Despite her team being outplayed at the time, Ellis kept Miami Country Day alive with her poise and shot-making under pressure. She has a strong defensive presence, often turning steals into easy transition points. A quiet assassin and leader on the court , Ellis is a two-way threat and if the game is in the line the shot needs to come her way. Ellis embodies the phrase "ice in her veins."

[player_tooltip player_id='249395' first='Jazlyn' last='Bowman'] (cover photo) is one of the premier shooting guards in Florida's 2026 class. Her standout showing at the Prep Girl Hoops last year, followed by her recent FABC Showcase in Gainesville turned heads. She consistently knocks down difficult, contested shots and uses the dribble to get to the rim. However, her biggest weapon is her three-point shot—smooth, accurate, and timely. One of the best shooters in the state.

[player_tooltip player_id='722922' first='Kennedy' last='Loux'] has traveled to Lakeland two consecutive years and likely it will be three. Her name is one you should already know. The multipurpose guard can play on or off the ball and is a strong three-point shooter—arguably the best shooter on her team from the point guard spot. Loux is poised, productive, and looking to take the next step in her recruitment this summer. It will be a live period to remember for the talented guard and she will likely secure more offers.

[player_tooltip player_id='752581' first='Alyssa' last='Donohue']
Donohue brings energy on both ends of the floor. She can play the 1, 2 or the 3 depending on matchups, and is a relentless on-ball defender. She racks up deflections, jumps passing lanes, and forces turnovers. Offensively, she has a soft floater, can finish at the rim, and hits from midrange. Don't sleep on her from beyond the arc either—she's a respected shooter and an ascending prospect with several offers.

[player_tooltip player_id='933334' first='Shelby' last='Gaines']
One of the toughest guards on Florida's First Coast, Gaines plays with grit, passion, and fearless energy. She's dynamic in transition, a crafty finisher at the rim with either hand, and a reliable shooter from the outside. Gaines brings leadership and intensity every possession and refuses to back down from competition. She will be a guard to watch this live period.

[player_tooltip player_id='1215720' first='Alyssa' last='Marino']
Marino is a composed and confident guard who thrives against pressure. She controls the pace, facilitates the offense, and knocks down elbow and corner threes with consistency. Her performance this summer in Georgia showed she can compete at a high level against elite competition. Her bread and butter are her three-point shooting and decision-making.

[player_tooltip player_id='514527' first='Arianna' last='Walker']
Walker is a tough, physical combo guard with a defensive mindset. She often takes on the toughest defensive assignments and thrives in transition, where she blocks shots, takes charges, and turns defense into offense. Offensively, she's still developing, but has a solid midrange jumper and great vision as a passer.

[player_tooltip player_id='514544' first='Narissa' last='Blocton']
Blocton is a high-energy guard who thrives in transition and brings a strong defensive identity. She generates steals and deflections, often leading to her own scoring opportunities. Coaches often rely on her to shut down the opposing team's top perimeter scorer. Blocton can score the ball, but her shut down ability has always been her calling card.

[player_tooltip player_id='1117631' first='Amirahs' last='Hayes']
led her team to a Final Four run and is a player who brings toughness to every possession. She's a capable playmaker, respectable from three, and steps up in big moments. Her leadership and poise are her calling cards, and she consistently does what's needed to win games. Her performance in Jacksonville to reach the State tournament still stands out.

[player_tooltip player_id='1257558' first='Anabelle' last='Shackelford']
was impressive at the FABC Showcase, showcasing her ability to score in bunches. She works well off the ball, knows how to space the floor, and is one of the top shooters on her team. She brings the energy and will be a player that coaches love to see compete.

[player_tooltip player_id='768731' first='Roslyn' last='Weston']
Weston is one of the most underrated guards in the 2026 class. She's aggressive to the rim, can shoot the three, crafty with her finishes, and can flat-out score the ball. Weston is a confident scorer who stays in sync with teammates and knows how to make plays. She may enter the live period with one rose, but she is poised to leave there with a dozen.

[player_tooltip player_id='633532' first='Leila' last='Goll'] is a fiery competitor and one of the top three-point shooters in the state. She's a glue player who makes hustle plays, sacrifices her body for steals and rebounds, and can change the momentum of a game when her shot is falling. If she gets hot, she can light up the gym.

[player_tooltip player_id='514625' first='Sophia' last='Scibelli']
One of the hottest prospects in North Florida, Scibelli has picked up a number of offers due to her elite shooting touch. She can score off the catch, put the ball on the floor when needed, and finish with a soft floater or layup. She makes defenses pay for overcommitting and has the skill set to shine in any setting.

.
